lovers of greek food we decided to check out the restaurant. spanikopita was alright, nothing exceptional. My husband had this fried cheese dish which was too salty and overpriced for basically friend cheese! we both thought the humas had an odd sort of aftertaste, when we asked about it the manager came out and literally yelled at us screaming about how his is the best anywhere and that we don't know greek food. We sat there absolutely stunned while the poor waitress and other customers looked on obviously feeling awkward and uncomfortable.
We did not complain , but simply asked a question about the ingredients and the manager absolutely made a scene and was incredibly verbally agressive and then stormed off on us after insulting us!

Poor customer service and horrible management! Food overpriced for the small portions.

My husband and I read previous reviews and were excited to try Boonies. I ordered the bbq sausage sandwich and he ordered the pulled pork. We also ordered some corn bread.
AMAZING! Great service, super friendly staff. Both meals were fantastic. We tried the ribs as well because we know how hard it can be to find some GOOD ribs! The sauce was incredible-nothing like it anywhere I've been. We didn't find it too salty at all as some people stated. Usually I find ribs dry and/or lacking meat..these were great!
Don't go for the 'ambiance' as there isn't much in that regard-its all about the food.

The corn bread was delicious-my only complaint is I wanted a bigger piece!

If your a fan of soul food, never tried it, or want something different you have to stop by Boonies and give it a go! We'll be back for sure.
