At the entrance, it looked promising with an interesting menu posted and two pretty hostesses greeting us, but it went downhill fast! We had two beers and Fish & Chips - pretty simple! One of the fish was still frozen inside - we sent it back (via the hostess as the waitress was always looking away). They returned the same piece of fish, but now overcooked! The French Fries were also overdone - as though they had actually been cooked once and then cooked again to reheat them. When I went inside and asked our waitress for the bill, she asked "what table are you at and who is your server"?
The restaurant is in the perfect location to entice thousands of tourists from the cruise ship terminal, so it is sad that this poor service and lousy food will be one of their memories of Vancouver. The restaurant management will be happy though, as they will make a lot of money by serving one-time guests lousy food by disgruntled waitresses.

Had lunch at the Sunshine Diner today with my family. What a mistake, the waitress did not look interested in her job at all. I tried to humor her up but obviously did not work. My brother ordered soup and French Toast, I know it is an odd combination, she brought the French Toast then after a fair bit she brought the soup. He said no to the soup which should have been first then the French Toast. Luckily I split my burger with my mother as it was terrible, probably the worst I've had in 50 years. The only thing worth going to this restaurant for is the ambience it is great and if you lived in that era you would enjoy.
