We had lunch here on the rooftop. Great view overlooking the beach and ocean. Service was very good. Menu was limited.
I had to request a special order of shrimp salad since it wasn't on the menu. The salad was excellent, but the prices were a little high.
But those cheap plastic chairs were very uncomfortable, which gave me a sore back after sitting there too long with little support.
You would think a classy restaurant like the boathouse could at least afford more comfortable chairs for their dinning customers.
We've been here a few times, but lately I find the quality slipping a little bit. We had a party of seven, but felt uncomfortably crowded at the small table reserved for us... barely enough elbow space.
I ordered my favorite roast lamb but found that there was less meat on it and more bone and fat than usual. I was craving and ordered a beer before dinner but the waiter must have forgotten because he didn't bring it until half-way through my meal. The prices also seemed a little higher than normal.
The two of us dined out at the cactus club in the early evening mid-week. We were seated promptly, and the service was good.
The food was very tasty but the portions weren't enough to fill us up. We left hungry. We were disappointed that they didn't bring us any bread before or during the meal which would have helped. We also felt it was overpriced since it didn't appear to be a high class restaurant. The floors were bare concrete which looked cheap and unfinished. I thought a wood or tile floor would probably have suited the atmosphere better.
