Very Disappointed!!

Here I sit "Broken Hearted". Made the mistake of trusting a word of mouth review on this restaurant. It has been in existence since 1997, so I figured it must be good as the location is odd, making it a "destination" place. WRONG!! The food is incredibly weak and overpriced beyond acceptance. Starters of Escargot - rubbery & odd tasting, Onion Tart "Parisienne" - flabby & bland. Mains - Rabbit "Provencal" - have you ever been to Provence?? Not even close to what I recall of Rabbit dishes in Provence. Special - Roast Leg of Lamb - Laughingly, "Roast" was a slice of lamb leg cooked independantly of the rest of the leg & quite inadequately cooked at that. Tough, tasteless & poached, if you ask me. Both dishes served with very undercooked & bland small potatoes. Very overcooked asparagus and also accompanied by a strange sourkrauty thingy that was more Germanic than French & in my opinion, added as a plate filler. Weak wine list & weak food. Only pleasant thing was the space. Really pretty with local art displayed.
