We had just gotten home, when friends came to see us and take us out for dinner! Well who is going to say no to that. the restaurant we had planned on going to was closed on Mondays! Rats! Hubby suggested we try the Blue Canoe...good choice.! We thought about sitting outside as they have heaters and blankets for snugglling, but finally realized it was just a little too cool. The inside of the restaurant is great, mirrors on the walls mean you don't have to turn around to see the boats and water view. Wait staff were wonderful, suggesting wines for us. Food was good, tried their Ahi Tuna, some of us for the first time. It was great! Could have been a little more avacado in the sandwich, but it was such a little detail. Deserts are absolutely decadent......leave room!!!

Relatives came into town and wanted to try something new, so Chops seemed like a good place to go, we were right. Lighting could be a little higher, but the food was excellent. Lamb was marvelous, everyone agreed that it is a place that will stay on our special list for our A friends. Wine list was extensive and weren't weren't totally out of sight price wise. Desert!!!! leave room for them!

Friends told us of this place, so we decided that the 4 of us should take it in. Made reservations just to be sure, but no problem getting in, although if we had tried later would probably have had to wait as it got quite busy. Waiter was amazing, he is what service is all about. Great wine list. I had the Ahi Tuna, and it was cooked and served with perfection. Everyone else s enjoyed their meals also, we were almost too full to enjoy dessert, but managed to force it down. Excellent! Would definitely go back again without hesitation. great recommendation for any occasion!

This review should have been written last fall. They had a change of ownership around that time. For years we hae gone to this restaurant as a nice, reasonably priced restaurant. Some friends had been helping us out and we wanted to take them somewhere for a little dinner and a couple of drinks. What a mistake!! One of our friends ordered the lamb and we shared a pizza (not great). Her order came and it was basically a pile of bones with a little meat on the side, so she refused it and asked for a new one. They took it away and brought her what was supposed to be a new dish, all it was was the same plate with some extra bones thrown on top. Needless to say we refused to pay for it. The waiter was very apologetic and said that there had been a large party in earlier and they had cleaned out a lot of their food (sound familiar??) While we were waiting for our bill to be sorted there was another couple who were refusing to pay for their meal and boy was he made. Same deal, been going there for years and had never had such an awful meal. Won't be back!!

Hubby and I decided at the last minute that we didn't want to cook. so off to Steveston. Had eaten at Correli's before and it had been fairly good, so decided to try again. It was a pretty quiet night there, so we were seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive and our drinks came quickly as did our Casear Salads. My husband was half way thru his when he found a plastic bread tag , he thought that it was just a tough old piece of cheese, in his salad and handed it to me! Nice! The waitress was very apologetic, but what had started out as a nice night out, had soured. Make you wonder what else is hiding in you food.

New owners! Working hard to bring the place back to where it used to be. Friday night crowded, so sometimes better to make a reservation. Had to wait for almost an hour for dinner a couple of weeks ago, but with the number of people in the place versus waiters it was understandable. Food is good and with fairly large portions. We like to go with our friends. Their lamb is wonderful and I can usually get enough left overs for lunch the next day.

Having heard raves about this restaurant, we were looking forward to going there with an old friend for her birthday. Someplace special....hmm more like so so! 1 1/2 hours for dinner is a little less then perfect to me. Food was decent, not great. I probably would have had a little more wine if I hadn't needed to go and get it for myself. When we did see a waiter, they were very attentive, just not often enough. When we left, we asked each other how they felt....Not a place for a second visit.

I found this restaurant on the Dine here website. We were going to a concert in the area and decided to try this restaurant. I must say that we would definitely go there again. The food was wonderful. However the service wasn't exactly what I would call swift and food arrived for us in spurts. My order came before anyone elses and I had a choice of letting it get cold or eating in front of everyone. I finished mine before anyones elses got to the table. It would have been nice to eat with the rest of my friends
