Not so good
Submitted Thursday, March 29, 2012 - 1:35pm [Take-out]

The place just gave me the no feeling. I have been a few times for dine in. It has always been fine. But today I tried take out as a few people in my office do from here and seem to like it.
I ordered the spanakapita and salad. The salad was fine but the spanakapita was soggy. The tzaziki was very good.

What got me was the cleanliness. The owner/manager asked me what I would like and yelled the order over the counter. The lady wiping the tables then came around the counter and assembled my order with her bare hands! She was cleaning a dirty table with a dirty cloth and then she went behind the counter and grabbed the spanakapita with her hands. GROSS! So, if this is how clean they are in front of their customers, I can imagine how clean they are in the kitchen.

I won't be going back.

Tasty, but...
Submitted Sunday, November 6, 2011 - 2:16pm [Dine in]

I love the food here. We have been many many times and it is flavourful and fresh. I particularly like the lamb curry, the naans, and the pakoras. BUT... once when we dined in the restaurant I had a big long hair in one of the pakoras. I let it slide because this can happen anywhere. BUT last night with my take out I got another short and curly hair (beard hair?) in my curry... YUCK!
I will go back, but not too impressed about this. One more chance - that's it.

Mango lassi and the chai teas are also fantastic.

check your credit card statement
Submitted Sunday, October 12, 2008 - 3:34pm [Dine in]

Check your credit card statements.
The food is ok, maybe a bit overpriced, not not bad.
My concern is that what we signed for on our visa slip is not what they charged us. The waitress added $10 to her already generous tip.
Check your statement.
As a result of this, we will not return.
Oh - and there's a smoking ban on patios - but plenty of people were smoking.

what a disaster
Submitted Tuesday, March 27, 2007 - 2:54pm [Dine in]

save your money.
one of the worst experiences in a restaurant. service is terrible and the food is worse.
I feel sorry for the people that work there.
No healthy options and all the food tastes like it went from the freezer to the microwave.

Very authentic Argentinian cuisine
Submitted Monday, January 16, 2006 - 4:44pm [Dine in]

Having been to Argentina several times and eaten at many of their restaurants and in family homes, I can safely say the food at Tango 8 is 100% authentic. Lots of delicious salads to accompany the parrilla (bbq meat, lightly salted). The empanadas were fantastic, just as good as the empanadas I have had before, fantastic and juicy. Mmmm. The matambre was also fantastic!! The chicken dish was amazing, half a chicken! The prices were very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Argentinian food and to anyone who likes a good bbq.

Don't forget to order sides of greens! And if you are feeling adventurous you can dance.
