if you are occasional customer, don't bother. This place is catering to everyday customers only!!!!

I work in the area and once in a while i grab lunch there. Over the past couple years, prices went up and quality/quantity of the food down. Today I was standing in line with about 5-6 people ahead of me and then came bunch of workers in. They got offered to bump the line because they wanted today special. So suddenly i had more than 10 people ahead of me! NOT COOL! I have also noticed that I got tomatoes on my sandwich that the worker took off the sandwich that she was making before mine. Pieces looked like they were cut close to the edge and I guess they weren't good enough for previous customer but not for me. I have also got lot less lettuce. I think I'm going to stop going there

Good place to eat

It used to be my favourite place, but lately my experience with their service wasn't good. Last time they were not busy at all, yet it took them long time to even take an order. Miso soup was cold (yuk). And I just wonder why every time I go there, I have to ask each time for my tea refill. It's rare they come over to check if I need anything and I can say I am pretty much regular customer. My favourite chopped scallop seems to be made sloppier each time I'm there, but food taste great, prices are good too so I will still eat there when I'm in the area. I don't think I will go out of my way anymore like I used to before.

Me and my husband went there for all you can eat lunch and it was ok, so we decided to try their dinner menu. So we did and let's just say we are not going back.
The service was really slow and they had only a few tables full. I ordered 2 spicy tuna cones but only got one so we reordered the spicy tuna..... and we got chopped scallop instead. Two mistakes on one order? I don't think the waitress understood very well, because she missed a couple of other things we ordered. Their sushi roles looked really sloppy, edamame was old soy beans still warm and with tons of salt and our green tea ice cream was held by waitresses finger when she brough it to the table. When I saw how they pour soya sauce from one bottle to another after they collected them all from the tables instead of refilling them up with refill bottle. Waitress dropped all red tops in one plastic container with water and then put them back without rinsing. After I saw this, I swore I'm not coming back.
My husband got sick from that place 6 years ago, so we wanted to give them another chance but what a mistake.

I go to Coquitlam location often for all you can eat dinner and I love it! I tried lunch menu couple of times but I prefer dinner. It's little bit more money but the menu is much better. I usually order specialty food and lots of sushimi and it's always fresh. I understand that to keep the cost down they can not hire too many waiters. They can get pretty busy but I think those 2-3 waiters are pretty fast and if you nice to them and thank them for their hard work, they always smile back.
I had to laugh at some reviews - small portions? well it's all you can eat, so order more! and I think it's only right to charge for uneaten food, after all it says it on the menu. There are lots of starving people in the world so why should we waste? Everybody should know how much their stomach can handle and order little first and then more later. It always worked for me :o) and what really amaze me is if the food is so horrible, how come there is always line up at lunchtime and people that complained here always seems to go back?
