Tastes good, but prices went up.

At some point white spot tried to be an up-and-up restaurant in order to attract yuppies or something. Which is fine, I suppose, but it doesn't really justify how they doubled the prices on everything else they used to have without increasing the quality in any way. Their burgers have been the same for as long as I've been alive, but now I have to pay way more for it.

That being said, it's still a good place to go. They technically have all you can eat fries but you'll never need them. I'm 6"3 and 190 and I always feel full before I would think about getting more fries. The sodas are bottomless too, which used to be normal but is becoming (sadly) a perk (as if syrup is so expensive).

I'd recommend, just remember that it's been rebranded away from it's greasy-spoon roots.

Donuts good. Others not good.

This goes for all Tim Hortons, as they are all pretty much the same.

Whenever I go to Tim Hortons and get donuts or a bagel, I leave a happy man, except when the servers are incredibly obnoxious, which is about 40% of the time - why does it take 5 minutes to punch is Peach Drink and Maple Donut, and another 5 minutes to give it to me when the donut is in a display case right beside the cash register and the peach drink is either in a case under the counter or in a cooler behind the counter?

However, when I get their actual meals, I'm usually disappointed. Except for the chili. It tastes canned and probably is, but it's still good. Their sandwiches cost more than Subway or even Quiznos but taste worse and are smaller than even McDonald's brief flirtation with subs (which like their fajitas were actually good and the only reason to actually go there).

I dont drink coffee so I can't rate their coffee. The restuarants seem understaffed and tables are cleared slowly and washrooms are often dirty.

Pretty below average

The fish smelled pretty fishy, as if it had been lying around for a long time. They made a big deal about "wild salmon vs farmed", which didnt do anything for me. The waiter couldn't understand English. The portions were VERY small, and when I got the usual "three maki rolls" combo that most sushi places have, I got maybe 60% in terms of actual volume because the individual pieces were so small. Even cheap stuff like white rice is given in very small portions, but the price doesn't really reflect this, because this place is more expensive than the usual sushi place (although it IS downtown, so its probably not entirely their fault). Its OK for once in a while.

Very disappointing

The food was exceptionally poor. It was cold and greasy and even though I ordered ala carte, I got really low quality food reminiscent of bad all you can eat. The staff are really pushy about ordering all you can eat too. I had to ask them three times for an ala carte menu, as if such a thing didn't even exist.

Used to be good
Submitted Sunday, January 18, 2009 - 12:56am [Dine in]

In my high school days I used to go here (soon after it opened), and it used to be fairly good. But now it's just terrible. I find all you can eat anywhere is pretty poor, but this place is even worse.

The floors are stained, the food is cold and tastes old, the bathrooms are exceptionally dirty. The service is nonexistent.
