(3.3) (3) (3) (3.5) (3.5)A week or so ago I was looking downtown for a nice place to eat. Everything was very busy and lines were out the door at most places, so against my better judgement, I went to Earl's. I got the New york steak, which was tough and tasted like leather, and the sides weren't much better. The service was abismal, and it I had to walk out the door to get noticed so I could pay my bill. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going to Earl's if you have other options.
Two nights ago, I dined at Carmelo's on Marine Drive in West Van. The Italian food there was outstanding, the selection was so good I didn't know what to choose, everything sounded great! When the courses came it was even better than I expected, and I have high expectations! Its a nice place to take a loved one, chill with friends, or catchup with a nice environment and ambiance. Good for all ages!
