Amazingly, we live about 2 blocks from this restaurant, and just discovered it this week. A friend mentioned its their one year anniversary, so we went and tried their special menu, just 20 bucks for 3 courses, can't go too wrong.
The fondue with garlic bread was absolutely delicious, I think I could've just eaten a few bowls of that and been happy! I also had the mushroom ravioli...creamy, rich, herby, delicious!
Don't usually get desserts in restaurant as I'm not that into super sweet things, but it was included, and so got the pear pastry with blue cheese. I have found a dessert I love. It wasn't too sweet, but it was savoury too, yummy.
Our server was amazing. Even though the room was full, and she appeared to be the only one on, service never suffered. She did apologize, saying they were a lot busier than expected, but I didn't notice any lack in the service. I've been in slow restaurants with way more staff on and not had service as good.
She was very friendly and helpful, and sold us on a great Chardonnay, to go with dinner.

This has to be the best choice in Vancouver for french food! It's location is tucked away in the city away from the crowds. It's perfect and cozy. We were one of two tables the night we dined, allowing for a wonderful romantic atmosphere.
The service was perfect. Our waiter was very attentive, and quick to suggest various items from the menu, both food and wine. Was also very friendly and chatty with us.
The food is sensational!! The foie gras was spectacular, melt in you mouth, rich and smooth. We also had the Dover sole, amazing, fresh tasting, sweet. We also had the lobster, alread removed from the shell for us and everything, thank you for not making me work for my food. The meat was so tender, perfectly cooked. Delicious!
This is a perfect romantic relaxing fine dining restaurant.

I love the location and the view. It's especially good in the summer, feels like you've escaped the big city, even though we're still in it.
The service is impeccable. Great attention to detail. Serve the ladies first, etc. When we ordered our food and requested a wine selection, our waiter actually asked us a few questions about our wine preference, and then gave us a couple of options. We had a nice chardonnay, I cant remember the name now.
We shared some scallops to start, absolutely delicious, moist and juicy. Then my wife had the black cod, and I, had the steak. I know any wine freak will criticize the wine. But that was the great thing with our waiter, I dont like red wine. He felt this was the best white to go with my steak, and my preference...where I know at a lot of restaurants they will just tell me it doesnt work.
Well I beg to differ, and thought it was a perfect match.
The steak was grilled to a perfect medium rare, nice and red all through out, and very warm. Most places cook it more to a medium when you order medium rare.
We were to full at this point, so we missed dessert, perhaps on our next visit we will try.
