Bob's Submarine Sandwiches6390 No. 3 Rd, #2, Richmond
Best subs, appealing even to fast-food haters
Submitted Thursday, November 6, 2008 - 12:00am [Dine in]

I was brought to this place by a friend almost 7 years ago and every time I'm in Richmond I make sure I go to Bob's Subs.

Their hot subs (agree with the first reviewer on the top choices) are to die for, just make sure you eat them in, don't take them out.

The prices are good, they also have a great selection of pop and juices available, the interior is OK for what it is, do not expect an upscale restaurant ambiance tho.

I can't believe this is only the second review for this place, if you ever have cravings for sandwiches, do yourself a favor, go to Bob's Subs and get a super sub.

Mixed feelings about the first visit, but I'll be back :)

Was in the hurry (and well, the place is better for take-out or a fast lunch) so I've ordered their daily special, the spice chicken rocket and the hazelnut baklava to go.

The spicy chicken rocket (think Quizno's of pita wraps -- the wrap is roasted in the oven before being served) was exceptional, the daily special (chicken on the rice with three kinds of nuts and a side salad) was a decent meal for the buck but clearly lacked the flavor comparing to the chicken rocket which was disapointing, the baklava was great.

The folks who run the place were very friendly, I'll be back for a chicken rocket and to try other items on their menu.
