We went here for lunch (and we had a coupon from the Entertainment Book). Being Friday, lunchtime, it was very quiet, lots of tables, we sat at one beside the window with a nice view of the golfcourse. There wasn't a huge selection, but it was ok, salads were fresh. The other items were ok, but nothing outstanding. There was sweet & sour pork, salmon, jerk chicken, two different pastas, rice & scalloped potatoes. There were rolls and one soup. A variety of salads, greek, potato, etc. Desert table had a nice selection. Service was good. It's a good deal when using a coupon. Not sure if I would go again, unless they revamped the menu.
Went with a few friends for dinner. Very nice decor, very cosy. The staff there very friendly and knowledgeable. It has been a very long time since I was there last, and with my last visit I wasn't really impressed. It was time to try again. I ordered the Bleu Cheese Filet, prepared medium well. Came with a twice baked potato, and a tomato. The filet was cooked perfectly, the Bleu cheese was so tasty, ( I would of had that for dessert, lol), the potato was very tasty, went nicely with the meal. I will go back again, as it was an enjoyable meal.
Decided to try a hotdog from here. The lineup was short, service was efficient, and the wait was only about 5 minutes. I tried the Terimayo. While it was ok, it wasn't 'wow', as I thought it would be better. It was a nice treat, but I think next time I will try someplace else.
Since it has been awhile since our last visit here and we were hungry. Casual place, like a diner. It was after 1:00 pm on a Saturday. Not very busy, we were seated shortly after arriving. Very nice menu, lots to choose from, and a few items with their own twist. I went for their Honey Dijon Rueben with fries, my friend had the Mexi Chicken (can't remember exactly how it was called). My rueben was very good, just the right amount of saurkraut, and the fries were good and crunchy. My friend's lunch also looked good. Marinated chicken breast, grilled and topped with cheese served with rice, bean salad, some tortilla chips and garlic toast. My friend commented on how tasty it was. Something I think I will try on my next visit. Will be going back when in the area, and will recomend to friends.
Went here for dinner as it's close to home. The pub is nice inside, (washrooms clean), my server was polite. I ordered a rueben with fries & a beer. Prices are reasonable, with some good specials. While the fries were fresh & tasty, there could of been a bit more meat on the sandwich. It was good, but not outstanding. I would go again to nibble on appies with my beer to watch the game.
We went here for a late lunch. The place always is busy, so we thought we would try it, as it was nearly 2pm, (no wait for a table). Very nice decor when we got in there, family oriented. We had a choice of where to sit, and went with the front room, very nice & bright on a sunny day. Mom had the smoked salmon bennie, I tried the mexi burger. Food was very tasty, fresh, and home-made. The pan fries were a nice change from french fries. Mom really enjoyed her dish which also came with the pan fries. Service was very good. Bread & buns are baked at their bakery & cheese shop next door, also worth a stop. Will definately go back to try something else.
Stopped in here with mom for lunch today. The decor has a train theme and also mixed with antiques. We were seated promptly. Nice menu with a bit of everything. I ordered the southwest burger, which came with very tasty fries. The burger was very good, but thought it could use a bit more of a 'kick' (but then I do like spicy foods), I did enjoy it, as it came with lettuce, tomato, fried onion rings, cheddar cheese and pepper rings. Mom had the schnitzel sandwich with a side salad, which she enjoyed. The service there was good, and we used a coupon from the entertainment book, which made it a good value. I would go back there again.
Stopped in for lunch with my mom. It was our first time here. It is really nice inside, I liked the open kitchen, made for a nice experience. Our server was very courtious, as we were seated. We ordered the smoked salmon salad, which my mom commented on was `very good`. I ordered the chicken reggiano ciabata with a side salad, also was very good. Nice fresh ciabata bread. Everything was very fresh. Very clean restaurant, will go here again, as some of the other dishes that passed our way to other tables looked very tempting.
We stopped in here for a late lunch today. Service was very good, and not too busy while we were there. I like the country setting in there, very casual. We ended up ordering the chipolte chicken sandwich with fries. Also ordered the chicken tenders in 'hot 'sauce with a baked potato on the side. Both were very good, and just the right amount of heat. Washed it down with iced tea. Noticed a few new items on the menu, so I'll have to go back and try them.
Stopped in for lunch today with my mom. Perogies are a favourite of mine, and these were very tasty. I ordered the #3 perogies, kielbassa, slaw and some sour cream. Mom had the deli sandwich and a cup of borsch. Food was very tasty, good size portions, (half of the sandwich was taken home). Service was very friendly. Busy place, both with dine in and take away. Would go here again.
After reading the reviews on here, we thought that we should try this place. We haven't tried this type of cuisine before, so why not. Everything on the menu sounded good. We started off with cardamom green tea. We had one order of the assorted kebob plate, which had one of each, (chicken, beef, ground beef) it came with a fresh green salad. We also ordered the ground beef kebobs, also came with green salad. The food tasted fresh, nicely spiced and we also had some bread which was nice. The place was clean, our server was polite. Will have to go again and try the other items on the menu.
We stopped in here for lunch and it has been quite awhile since our last visit. The service was friendly and attentive. We had the lunch burrito (beef), came with rice and refried beans, and was very good. Sometimes refried beans have that 'came out of the can taste', but not these, you can taste the difference. The burrito tasted good, the beef very tender, and it was topped in a 'red sauce', and some cheese. We also had the 'torta' sandwich, with a side of soup. I sampled the soup, and it was a bit spicy, ( I really like spicy foods), very good, might have to order that next time. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal, and will return.
We stopped in here the other night for dinner. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, as it was busy, but once we were seated our server was very nice, and courteous. We ordered the chicken quesadilla, and chicken pie. Drinks came quickly, and when our food arrived, it was nicely presented, and very tasty. Nothing too special, but good, sort of like comfort food. The restaurant itself is nice, lots of booths. Would go here again when in the area.
Stopped in for lunch with my Mom. Very nice place, clean and the service was friendly. There was always a server around if you needed something. My Mom had a soup, which was home-made, which she said was very good. She also had the schnitzel, also very tasty. I had a bacon & cheese burger with fries. The burger was large, and very good, also the fries, very large portion. Good value for the amount you get.
Heard about this pub, and since we were in the area, and we were hungry, we wanted to try it. The patio was busy, and it was a fair size. We stayed inside, it was a little cooler. Very nice pub, very roomy. We ordered the Blue Ribbon Burger (beef), with fries and chipolte mayo on the side. We also ordered the halibut burger, with caesar salad on the side. Both were very tasty. Burger was cooked just right. The fish was a nice size. I sampled some of the caesar salad, and it was good. Service was great, our server was very nice and knowlegible about the menu.
Had lunch here today, was our first time, and I thought it was nice inside, the big windows made it nice and bright. Some places are so dark, it's hard to read the menu. Not a very large menu, but has the basics. We ordered a burger, which was very good, and came with lots of fries, and also ordered the beef dip with caesar salad, which looked very tasty. Portions were large. The service was good, washrooms were clean. If I'm in the area, I would go in again.
Had to try this place after reading the many good reviews from here. Ordered the Mongolian beef, and vegetable noodle with hot garlic. Very good, the beef was very tender, and very spicy. The noodles were also very good, (the order was large, took half home). The service was also very good, and our server came around and asked if we needed anything. Would go back again to try something else.
Based on previous reviews, (and I love Mexican food), I stopped in on Saturday for lunch. They serve Mexican and Salvadoran cuisine. Wasn't sure what to order, but chose the 'Tortas Mexicanos', which turned out to be a very tasty 'sandwich'. Very nice crusty bun, nice lean cooked roast beef, tomatoes, lettuce. Also came with tortillas and fresh home-made salsa. Also ordered a Mexican hot chocolate, very nice and different. The decor is ok, not many tables, and they do have some groceries from Latin America. I'll return to sample something else on the menu.
We have been here a few times already, and whenever we are in the area, we go there. The schnitzels are made fresh to order, the fries are also good. I had the Jack's Burger, a schnitzel on a bun with bacon, sauteed onions, mushrooms, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato & mayo. My companion had the schnitzel with a side of coleslaw. The staff are friendly, the place is clean.
We were in the area, so we stopped in for a quick bite. It's a small deli, with a few tables. Our sandwiches were very tasty, I had the roast pork, on a nice roll. My mom had the Montreal smoked meat, which was also very tasty, although not very large, and it came with a few sliced pickles which were good. Not a large place, but good for freshly made sandwiches. Service was good, friendly people there.
