When they're good they're very, very good

but when they're not it's just disappointing.

There have been a few times now where I've gone to Solly's and found their matzo balls in the soup to be rubbery or dry. Or the service will randomly jump from amazing to horrible. I've had everything from staff there offering suggestions for combinations to try to rude and short service.

It is a little pricey for what you get but when they get it right the quality makes that worth it. The problem is when they don't get it right it's horribly over priced.

Left wating

I've given the Sin Bin a few tries. Every time I'm left for 20-30 min with out even being able to get a drink much less order food (and that includes times I've left my table to stand at the bar to try to order there directly). Something for such a small pub is absurd. The food seems pretty bog standard for pub fare. With better service, and slightly lower prices they would get a higher review from me.

Regular stand by for dinner

The food is amazing (especially when you factor in the cost). There are rotating specials for rolls and meals that can cut down costs even more. I have yet to have a meal here I didn't enjoy.

The staff are all friendly and cheerful. The has always been quick.Show up often enough and most of them start to learn names and preferences. I've seen them do amazingly on quiet nights when the place is dead or busy nights when they have a full room upstairs and people packed in down stairs.

I was iffy about the decoration and the music my first few times I went in. Eventually the random music styles (techno, industrial, rap, pop...) and the random decoration grew on me.

Perfect for a relaxing dinner with a few friends

While the actual seating area is fairly small there is a varied menu and some amazing daily specials. Probably some of the best pub fare I've had since coming to Vancouver.

Most of the meals are rich and interesting combinations of very simple but high quality ingredients.

The service has always been fantastic. On Hockey game nights we've had to wait a fair bit (up to 20 min) to get a table but the rest of the time there has never been a problem.
