Every so often I hear buzz about this place, and it varies from praise to intense hatred. Sadly, when we finally decided to give it a shot, we had an experience closer to hatred.
The place was busier than other restaurants in the area, but you could tell just by looking that most, if not all, of these people weren't local.
The service was just OK. No special attention, or treatment. No carefor customers, no personal touch, nothing. Just take our orders, bring us our food, settle our bill...end of story.
I like to be served by someone who can at least pretend to enjoy what they're doing. If you dont like this job why are you doing it?
The food, now that was the real shocker. You'd think a seafood restaurant would know how to cook fish. Everything was over cooked. We had prawns, and salmon, the prawns were soft & rubbery, and salmon was bone dry. terrible!
On top of the poor quality of the food, it was very expensive...priced closer to fine dining.
Clearly these people target the tourist, gouge them and serve crap, who cares, they'll never be back.
I wish now, I had followed my instincts and not dined here...but again, it's taken about 15 years before I finally decided to give it a try...and it was definitely either 15 years too late, as its gone downhill, or just a visit that never ever should have happened,
