To my surprise, this little hole in the way is quite alright! Although the food is a bit pricey for the amount you get, the flavours are absolutely rich and delicious. I recommend the Gaeng Dang (red curry with chicken). That's my must have.
The ambience is pretty cool too. It kind of reminded me of a Buddha Bar when we stepped in the first time. The waiter/owner/husband of the chef is also really nice and personable. This is my favorite Thai restaurant right now.
I am saddened to report that my favorite Sushi restaurant is no more. My partner and I have been going to Asahi for the past 4 years on a regular basis. The food was exceptioal, service was great and price was reasonable. For a year after they renovated, they were still good. However, we have noticed that as of October of last year, everything has gone downhill. We are thinking there was a change in owner. Thefriendly young servers were all replaced with bitter older women who try to rush you out the door as soon as it looks like you're close to finishing your meal. The menus have also changed. You are paying more for less, and even the fish in the "all you can eat" selection is of lesser quality.
All in all, we are very disapointed and will be going to Nagano from now on.
