Have dined here multiple times with the same group of friends. The ambiance is terrific – the establishment has a very rustic yet modern feel to it and the multiple floors make the restaurant seem very spacious and clean, yet private at the same time.
The food is top-notch. The portions are sizable and there are tons of menu options with many combinations which is great for Italian food lovers. Definitely try a pizza!
The service, however, is dreadful. Each time I've gone to Lombardo’s I have been served by a different but equally as apathetic waiter. Our servers have continually been cold, impatient and careless with their responsibilities. They seldom checked up on our table, and one server gave my friend major attitude after an order was messed up by her own doing. Management may want to try a different format here because these people seem to seriously hate their jobs. Maybe they get tired from running up and down those stairs all day long?
Will return, but only for the food.

Dined here the other night with a couple of girlfriends for a girl's night out on the town.
The service was very reliable and swift, and our server and food runners were extremely quirky and amusing which added to an entertaining dining experience. At the end of the evening, the server graciously did separate bills for the 10 of us.
The drinks were delicious with very original and witty names which made reading the menu a treat! The appetizers and main course dishes were also tasty. The menu had a wonderful variety of choices to choose from and everyone left satisfied.
The atmosphere was very laid back and relaxing. However, I would not recommend bringing small children here considering the heavy lounge feel to the place and the pseudo-pornographic images on the wall and menu!
Overall, I am very interested in returning.

Dined here a few weeks ago with friends, just after the restaurant finished their renovations and re-opened.
The service was downright sloppy. Our server was not informed about the menu and ignored our table for extended periods of time; we kept having to flag him down. He forgot to bring basic items to the table -- cutlery, water. We ended up waiting one hour for our appetizer - a simple meat and cheese platter - which he had forgotten to ring in. By the end of the night, one of the managers was serving our table.
The food (novel conceptions by the new menu) was bland and extremely overpriced; definitely no value for the money we were paying. The bread was stale, the salads were wilted, and the sauce on the entrees was watery.
The only thing the restaurant had going for it was its ambiance which was rustic and relaxing, reminiscent of a ski lodge. In light of our terrible dining experience, the management was also very accommodating. I understand that this new Taphouse is going for a pub feel; in that case, stick to treating this place as a bar and don't visit if you want a restaurant experience.
