Only 1/4 of our groups order was correct, everything else was wrong. The funnier part is they tried convincing us that it was us that was wrong....
And the cheesecake was really mushy
Overal the ambiance was good, music was lively but the desert was sub par. Would I come back? Probably not.
There are no words to describe how good, how delictable, and how amazing the service was at Tojo's!
Went there with my husband for our anniversary and it was the best decision ever!
Food- to die for! The sashimi was so fresh, it melts in your mouth! The special rolls, so delictable! Quality and originality rings out through the whole meal!
Ambiance -- Clean, neat and trendy
Service- outstanding!!! Never once did I have to wave down our server, he was always there when we needed something. Also Chef Tojo himself even greeted us and thanked us on our way out!
Overall -- would go back in a heart beat!
A must go!!!!
This would be my third third visit back to Terracotta, and it will certainly not be the last.
Where to begin?
Food: Like the title says, Delectable!!! The Short Rib Sliders were savory, moist , tangy and the meat melts in your mouth. The Ginger Beef was another winner with it's tangy and satisfying flavors. The Barbecue Duck Wraps are also worth the try!!!
Dishes were plated nicely and the portions were more than reasonable.
The dessert: Tapioca Happy Ending... like the title... perfect ending to a great meal!
Overall, a great place to have dinner or even just for drinks.
Overall this restaurant definitely describes "you get for what you pay for -- minus the service"
Ambiance: What's with the faded old photos stapled to the walls ? Sorry it looked a bit tacky, especially with a few photos that had graffiti drawing on them. Overall, it's a burger joint so I was not really expecting much.
Service: As the previous entry noted, service was not the greatest here. There were a few moments I was tempted to get up and get my own utensils, napkins etc.
Food: Overall pretty good, can't really complain. The burgers were tasty, however I have tasted better before. The wedged fries are worth mentioning!!
Overall: Casual burger joint...if you are looking for a place to fill you're burger craving this place is worth the try.
Since dining here last, I can definitely say I will not be returning... Generally speaking the food is okay, the tables are not sticky, and the place LOOKS clean.
However, the service was horrible. When we first arrived (party of 3), there was a large crowd just outside the doors and inside the waiting area. I asked the manager how long the wait would be he said "only 10 minutes" ...after waiting 45 minutes for a table were about to leave, especially since the manager's "friends" were being seated prior to us. After being the last party served, which made no sense since we arrived before the others... we finally began eating. After four attempts to ask for water and an extra pair of chopsticks, one of my buddies ended up doing both himself...
If you're coming for the service ... go somewhere else!!! especially if it is a busy night... utter horrible service!
I use to go here all the time and now...I don't even remember why I did in the first place!
The waitresses don't even acknowledge you, nor do they take your order. However, if they see you make eye contact with them they will look away and pretend they don't see you.
The service was HORRIBLE!
Our order was never right and the cones were just filled with rice.
I am NEVER coming back here again. Ever.
Foo Lai Ho == Bitter Come Go!
That's the direct translation.
Another reason why not to visit this place. When I was last there I saw 2 mice sitting next to my feet. No joke. I started screaming and got up. The owner asked me to be quiet and not to make a scene.
After that episode, she told us that if we did not go to the health inspector's about them, they would give a free meal.
Yeah...that's why i don't go there anymore.
After hearing mixed reviews on this place, I thought I'd give this place a shot.
Went with another couple and my boyfriend. Each of us ordered appy's and drinks. They all came really quickly.
After being forewarned about the parsley incident, we were going to ask for no parsley, however..we did notice they were using spoons to sprinkle the parsley....so i don't know what the previous review was talking about.
As for the atmosphere/ambiance. It was busy, but we still managed to eat under 1 1/2. Everything was good.
The only suggestion I have is..when choosing a pasta.. go for a hollow pasta...I'm guessing prior to boiling each portion of pasta they weigh it. I went with the ravioli and just by looking at the plates in comparison with my boyfriend who had the penne...his pasta portion was at least 2 times more.
Five reasons why you should never go back to this place:
1)Over priced raw meat that YOU are cooking yourself
2) You have to pay for your own bread which for one loaf costs 4 bucks for 6 slices!
3) The really gross smell from the meat (keeping in mind everyone is cooking during this time)
4) At first when we were at the restaurant it was pretty quite, and had a great atmosphere. About an hour later that changed and it felt like we were at McDonalds.
5) The manager came to our table three times to explain how to cook the meat, this became a bit annoying after awhile.
BUT...
There were 2 good things from this place.
1) Clean bathrooms.
2) View.. Absolutlely awesome!!
Overall after this experience I will not be going back, simply of the price we paid and for the service.
