I took my son-in-law, visiting son and three grand children for a late afternoon beverage.
Had some wings, chips and brew.
We had an enjoyable time until the bill arrived. The beer was charged at more than stated on the menu. They said we had the old menu.
I mentioned it to the server and the manager over-ruled that the information was in the computer and couldn't be changed. I voiced my thoughts and felt it unfair.
The manager said that if I didn't pay the higher, new menu price that it would come out of the waitresses pay cheque. Nice place to work! I paid and left a ten dollar cash tip for the servers.
A few days later I called Mr. Corsi, the senior manager and explained the situation. He asked if we had the old menu and I said, apparently so! He more or less sluffed it off and made no attempt to remedy the event. It was a brief chat.
We had 6 Kilkenny's, 1 Buffalo Wings, and 1 small dish of chips for the kids. Total: all in: $63.86 plus the $10.00 Tip.
The whole scenario fell far short of our expectations.
I might look for a new manager. An unusual business climate for motivated staff.
Next time try Earl's or The Cactus Club! Without exception.
