This is the best pho downtown. Hands down! :) If you want larger portions, they are definitely out there at other restaurants outside of downtown.
This small family-owned restaurant is very popular to people whom live downtown and want great authentic Vietnamese food (run by Vietnamese family) with great portions and a pretty good price.
I've been to about 10 different Pho restaurants in the Vancouver/Burnaby area and this one is by far my favourite. Even with the previous owners, the food has only improved. If you're looking for obese portions, go to a fast food joint and super size.
If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food with very friendly service, go to Pho Number One. Saturdays and Sundays have special dishes - usually a spicy beef or chicken broth with curry and potatoes. So much flavour!

I've been here around 5 times in the past three years. The past year (2007) has been 'iffy' in the service department here as they seem to be understaffed. The food took a long time to arrive (40+ minutes) though we knew it wasn't the server's fault.
Atmosphere is nice; not fancy nor romantic but clean and presentable.
Food is always wonderful here. Samosa Garden down the street is a close second (as their buffet is never as fresh as kitchen-prepared dishes).
I will be coming back to Good Morning because of the food, however I will make sure I am not in 'rush' mode as a lot of Vancouverites seem to be when it comes to dining.
