Bad service ruined everything
Submitted Thursday, August 16, 2007 - 1:02pm [Dine in]

Some of the worst service I ever had. We had a large group drinking and eating dinner. Our drinks took at least 30 minutes to arrive, and every time our waitress came over she would roll her eyes at us (for absolutely no reason). When told a salad wasn't dressed, she replied self-righteously, "The kitchen just go 40 orders so they're really busy". Oh really? So due to the busyness of the kitchen we should or should not expect food to be made properly? What does this mean for the burgers, should we be worried about salmonella? Food kept being brought to the table that we didn't order, and used cutlery was dropped in my lap by the waitress, who, when I plucked them out and put them on her tray, asked me to deposit them on another part of her tray instead. We overheard another table asking for their bill, and she informed them that she couldn't remember everything, she was too busy.

I will never go back there again. For so-so food and crappy service, I'd much rather spend my money elsewhere.

A genuine disappointment
Submitted Sunday, July 1, 2007 - 2:01pm [Dine in]

We heard people raving about this place so we headed over with some friends and man, were we disappointed. The food was awful; I ordered chicken in black bean sauce and it was overly sweet AND salty and tasted overwhelmingly of sauce as opposed to any of the perfectly fine ingredients. I could only eat half of it, and believe me, I LOVE FOOD. I would rather eat at Koya Japan or some other fast food place.

Then there's the service: it was AWFUL. They told us they ran out of bowls (how the hell does a restaurant run out of bowls??) so they had to serve us in takeout containers. Yet other customers still got bowls. When we pointed that out we got this bizarre ceramic thing shaped like, guess what? A TAKEOUT CONTAINER. WTF?

This restaurant is a terrible example of what happens when people who don't understand a culture's cuisine try to take it on in a yuppie neighbourhood. This "fusion" restaurant needs to go, for the good of Asian food everywhere.
