I go to Splitz every time I go skiing in Whistler! I've had pretty much all their burgers and tried all their sauces. My favorite is their lamb burger.
Everything is made right in front of your eyes and the friendly cooks let you choose from lots of different toppings (you can't go wrong with Splitz sauce and sprouts!)
There ALWAYS is a line even though the grill is not exactly within Whistler Village, it's like a local's best kept secret.
A few friends and I went there for dinner the other day, to my surprise we were able to get a seat ~6:30PM!
The service was great, they even served warm bread with garlic butter shortly after we sat down. We loved their soups, their spicy popcorn shrimp was very tasty and their steak was well cooked; however, the pasta had little flavor which was rather disappointing considering this is the spaghetti factory. Anyway, great value for their food, and good ice cream at the end.
I love Pho and have been to lots of different Pho in both Metro Vancouver and Victoria. Pho Hoa (chain franchise) on Fort Street serves very tasty Pho noodles and a large bowl could usually fill me up. Compared to surrounding Pho in the Downtown area, this one offers the best value.
Service is quick though the servers usually have little expression and neutral hospitality. (It's more like a fast food restaurant) Be prepared to find somewhat greasy tables, not thoroughly-washed chopsticks, and even fruit flies.
Parking on the street is usually full but there's a pay parking in the rear.
