Worth Searching Out !
Submitted Tuesday, July 29, 2008 - 9:48pm [Dine in]

My wife and I dropped in to try out the Daily Special that was
advertised in their window. " Souvlaki @ $10.00"per.

Being bargain hunters we decided to "take the plunge".
We both ordered the special and were MORE THAN PLEASED.

Goodly portions, served with the usual Greek Salad and a potato.
Plenty of Pitta Bread too.....................

The Chef/Owner/Chief Cook made the rounds of the tables;
a very nice gesture.

WE WILL BE BACK.

A Shrimp and Avacado Sandwich.
One Corned Beef with Cheese San.
One Club House.

Total tab was only $24.00

Fast In - Fast Out !
Submitted Friday, June 20, 2008 - 10:15pm [Dine in]

We hit the door at 11;45 and were still able to get seated and served within 14 minutes!
I had 1/4 Duck over Steamed Rice.
My pal had the S&S Boneless Chicken Lunch.

Both were EXCELLENT and served Piping Hot.

The whole little restaurant is jumpin and full of good humour.

Service is with a SMILE and they are VERY HAPPY to see you leave because the seating is so limited ---- there is OFTEN a waiting line.

A "Can't Miss" Experience while in Richmond !

Prices and LOW - Quantities are Definitly Adequate.

"Love It ".

Old Standby
Submitted Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 9:09pm [Dine in]

A very good "Old Standby" kind of restaurant.
Nother super as far as ambiance, food, or service.....BUT...
one can at least rely on getting a good standard of fare.

Kalamari and Souvlaki are the most ordered amongst our group.

The Greek Salad is O.K. but not the most memorable of dishes.

Service is always pretty good...and was again this afternoon when we arrived near 5:30 P.M..

Yes--- this is getting to be a regular "Haunt" for my wife and I as well as friends.

GOOD Surprise.
Submitted Monday, June 16, 2008 - 5:52pm [Dine in]

We expected a so so lunch at this, of many restaurants NOT on the beach.

She ordered the Chicken (Ciabatta) Sandwich and, instead of fries, had the Black Bean Soup.

I ordered THE SICILIAN Pizza.

Everything was served in reasonable time and was piping hot.

Service with a Smile from "Jen"topped off the Lunch !

BETTER Than Average......
Submitted Saturday, June 14, 2008 - 11:22pm [Dine in]

Three of us hit the door at about 5:00 P.M. so were able to get seated immediately.

We all decided we would go "Germanic" so all three ordered Shnitzels - of one variety or the other.

It was a unanimous vote that a Shnitze must be accompanied with beer to be true to origin so three large glasses were also ordered.

All went well for the next hour !

Fast service from the kitchen.
A good Smile from our Server.
Good atmosphere and a fair price for what we ordered and got.

Like Arnold said......."I'll be Back !"

Go West Young Man
Submitted Thursday, June 12, 2008 - 9:11pm [Dine in]

Just a few paces West we could have had a much better eating experience. Sadly this Food Outlet is "out to lunch".

The lay out is very interesting- though not overly clean....with holes in the table to put your Newspaper Wrapped cone of Fish n Chips.

I ordered the Cod N Chips...My Wife ordered the Halibut N Chips.

My Cod was kind of GOOEY.. looked like just out of the freezer.
the Halibut was OK as were the Chips in both cones.

NEXT TIME We will walk a few paces Westward and seek out yet another eating adventure (instead of misadventure).

Masters of SPICE !
Submitted Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 9:37pm [Dine in]

We enjoyed this Restaurant so much we returned after only a few days.

We were served large portions of Really Great Food - served with a smile from Cheryl the busiest Hostess/Server in White Rock.

We ran through a total of 10 dishes in our eating adventure and were quite impressed with the use of SPICES! NOT HOT - just FLAVOURFUL.

There was food on the table within 10 minutes of us placing our order. How only two Chefs in the kitchen could move so fast and produce such great stuff is still a surprise to us.

The Curried Chicken was the SUPER FAVOURITE both evenings.
Add a vegitable plate and there is more than enough for two hungry eaters.

Had Brunch with my wife today.
We both ordered the special listed as THE IRISH BREAKFAST.

Good Quality Food. Good Quantity, Good Service.

FAIR WARNING! Like some one else posted..."after two coffee's you pay extra".

*A side order consisting of one half slice of Toasted SODA BREAD cost me an extra $2.50 !

We will be returning to this "Shrine to The Beattles."

More than adequate
Submitted Sunday, June 8, 2008 - 5:45pm [Dine in]

I expected a bit more of everything from this chain op.

Arlene, the server, did her job well....

BUT -
THE KITCHEN WAS SLOW in dishing up our Vittals.
I ordered "The Hulk" Hamburger and my wife ordered The Liver Dish.
There were three tables occupied and a serving staff of four. The two kitchen staff took TOO LONG to serve up the simple fare we required. Almost half an hour!

The price was OK at $30.24 for both....good value indeed.
But
I do not think we will be in a hurry to return.

Better than Most !
Submitted Saturday, June 7, 2008 - 8:29pm [Dine in]

Moved to White Rock yesterday and had hungry unpackers to feed.

Ordered six different dishes from the take out menu to feed the five.

FAST preparation and still steaming hot when it arrived seven blocks from the source.

Hardly one curnal of Rice or one Noodle left after the five of us attacked!

Thank you Amy for suggesting those particular dishes.....
