Hipsters paradise...

Chicken kaarage was great; cooked and presented well. Service (owner?) was also friendly and displayed an informed vision of how the fusion was to be delivered. Sake was available of only high quality but wa served in fine taste. The hamburger option is refreshing and complements the ping fries. I like how the place is not overly gimmicky from the outside and the understated entrance shows clean taste. Portions were appropriate for a date or friendly tapas with close company, but a few sizeable, and marked as such, options would be appreciated. Overall, a cool place appealing to discerning clientele on a night when budget can be overlooked in the name of quality and experiential mixing of genres.

Buffet can be costly-Good food though
Submitted Friday, October 17, 2008 - 3:17pm [Dine in]

Walking in I did not realize the buffet was pay by weight and it so happpens I chose heavier items. The potstickers were great as was the deep fried tofu. However all the denser items cost significantly more. The hot and sour soup is 1.50 for a small bowl as well. I would definitely take my sister (vegetarian) or a lunch date who was vegetarian but you can do better for value in Victoria. At the entrance to Chinatown, for example, you can get a 6.95 combo which is excellent. Also won-ton soup is superior and of greater value. So, if your a student or value-conscious person scratch this joint or skip the buffet.

Mediocre - Victoria all B grades
Submitted Wednesday, October 15, 2008 - 10:18pm [Dine in]

Sadly, this town is solid B grades across the board not only in Japanese but Vietnamese cuisine as well. Avg food. You leave without feeling you've had good value. Nice service. With the options in Victoria you're better off here than most - Living on the Ocean, What has gone wrong w// restaurants here?
