Curry Express4820 Kingsway, #352, Burnaby
This place is part of my life
Submitted Wednesday, March 18, 2009 - 11:07pm [Dine in]

I am outing myself as a regular who takes out food from Curry Express at least once per week. The combo with two curries, rice, naan and a drink for under $8 is a great deal. My favourites are the veggie yogurt curry and palak paneer; the excellent mint chutney is great on both. While I have not ordered it myself I regularly see that they microwave their chicken which seems a little questionable but I should really leave that to the chicken eaters of the world to judge.

OPA! Of Greece4820 Kingsway, #325, Burnaby
A favourite lunch
Submitted Wednesday, March 18, 2009 - 11:00pm [Dine in]

I work near Metrotown and visit the food fair for takeout lunch on a regular basis. The food at Opa always seems fresh and is freshly prepared. I go for the #5 wrap combo with fava though some friends swear by the souvlaki. Their tzatziki and homous are excellent. It is admittedly not the cheapest lunch at the mall but the prices are reasonable.

Indian Oven2006 4th Avenue West, Vancouver
Horrible customer service
Submitted Wednesday, March 18, 2009 - 10:52pm [Dine in]

I had ordered delivery from Indian Oven once before and found the food decent; tonight I did not get that far. I placed an order for myself that met their $25 minimum delivery standard and provided a VISA number for payment. I received a call back a short time later to ask if I would pay by cash instead since it was such a small amount and would save the driver a trip back to the restaurant with the credit card slip. I explained that I did not have any cash hence the use of a credit card in the first place. The disappointed employee reluctantly ended the call. Had I been depending on a credit card because I had a negative cash flow as opposed to simply no cash on hand I might have been deeply insulted and was nevertheless annoyed by the poor customer service. I called back and cancelled my order and will now look elsewhere.
