Friendly staff ... excellent food.

I love this place. The staff is friendly and the food is great. you can usually find a seat at the bar and watch them make the sushi for you, and if there is a hockey game (or any sports) on TV, they will have it on their flatscreen monitor. Love it, recommend it. Try the deep fry roll! A+

Great food....lousy service!

A few of us had decided to try out this place as recommened in a local vancouver newspaper as being a great lunch place for around $10. We had hoped for a quick meal, but it was far from it. When we walked in the place was packed. We grabbed one of the last 2 tables (jsut before a couple walked in a few mins later and grabbed the last one) and waited for our server. We had ordered the chicken avacado salad, avocado chicken panini, and pesto chicken panini. After waiting for over 35 mins, and watching the couple before us get served, our food finally arrived. Oh, if you dont like paninis, get the salad, it was HUGE! For $9 the salad was by far the best buy, better then any catcus salad or earls. The two paninis come with either salad, or soup (but you only get a half panini), and were excellent as well. Overall the experience was great, if i had an hour or more for lunch i would have ordered some wine (like half the restaurant). There were 2 servers , one could barely sopeak english, the other was swamped with other customers, which was a challenge trying to ask for more water! Since there is only one chef in the back, the food deos take a while, but is well worth it. Nice place, would recommend going early or later. FYI, their hours are really strange (11am-3pm; 4pm-7pm), but i guess they can get away with it since the food speaks for itself. 7/10

Good eats for the price ...

Its hard to get food downtown in the "in between" price point. Its either a food court fast food, or lavish expensive lunch. Thai house has a great lunch menu for $7.50 a plate. We shared 3 dishes, red and green curry chicken (green was hotter, red tasted better), and chicken with peanuts. Great lunch for 3, bill came to $23, less then $10 each. Great food and good amount for the price. Better then eating at the mall again!
