Gusto Di Quattro1 Lonsdale Ave, North Vancouver
Always up to Snuff....

Another great night out at Gusto. We eat here when we can find parking, otherwise we eat at Quattro on 4th. Fresh, seasonal menu, freindly service in a quaint, cozy room. Diverse wine selection and the kitchen is always willing to make little adjustments for the "needy" ones that may be seated at your table. Not a great spot for kids, a bit of an adult atmosphere....

We love the Bistro. The food is fantastic, close to 5 star cuisine. It's pricey for a little hole in the wall, but always a great experience. Staff is freindly and very casual but provide decent prompt service. Great wine list with plenty of price variety. There was some live music the night we went, it was a bit much for the samll place, but enjoyable. You kind of feel like you are somewhere else besides North Van when your're there, good portions, very fresh ingredients, no complaints

Not for us..

The Bear has changed. We used to enjoy our snacks and drinks there, but the service and food has changed and not for the better. Very poor wine selection if you're looking for a decent bottle to go with dinner, and try not to order a cocktail other than a screwdriver because the kids behind the bar are sure to get it wrong. Service was ok and seating has always been difficult. If you want a beer and fries, this might be your place, but Vancouver has so much to offer in the way of great food, it's not for us.

Chill Winston3 Alexander St., Vancouver
Great little spot

We enjoy Chill W's. Lots of great people watching on the patio, a simple menu, but they do try to change it up. We like the thin crust pizza and the Grey Monk wine. Not usually a favorite of mine, but it's good value and goes great with all the little plates.. Nice 30 something crowd, with lots of energy in the room.
