A patio in Yaletown that is definitely worth visiting!

During this long weekend I was talked into going to Yaletown for one evening. The area isn't always my favourite place but we ended up at Section 3 and I had a great time.
Being a bit of a foodie I am always picky. Section 3 offers weekly fresh sheets so I opted for a few items off of the fresh sheet. Started with the spinach salad and it was great! A nice mix of candied salmon, goat cheese and a few other vegetables. Sometimes candied salmon can be overbearing but they used just the right amount.
For dinner I had the ruby red trout. Perfectly cooked and served with broccolini and fingerling potatoes. It was also served with a delicious lemon butter sauce - just enough so I didn't feel guilty eating it!
I had a couple of mojhitos for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at the price of the bill that my friends and I racked up. A lot more affordable that we anticipated. It was also a fun atmosphere and a lot less arrogant that some of the other places in the area. I will definitely be back and totally recommend it to others!

I had heard a lot about this place before I finally checked it out last Thursday and it was so much better than I anticipated. The building looks the same as it probably did when it was built in the early 1900's on the outside but inside was amazing. A classy decor complete with the vault that was apparently there when the first bank existed. I was there around 6 and there were 4 other tables of people already there. Upstairs at the Heist Lounge appeared to be a private party and a lot of people were in the restaurant before attending (some singles night). I shared the Crab Cakes with my friend and they were great and full of flavour. For my main course I had the Chicken Mole and it was fabulous! I've had Mole many times before and it was the best I've ever had. For desert I broke down and tired the deep fried ice cream and was surprised by how much I liked it. It was a ball of vanilla ice cream, deep fried and cover with cinnamin and served with chocolate sauce. I liked it because it wasn't too sweet and the warmth around the ice cream just melted it slightly. There were a few guys serving and they did a good job overall. A little behind at times but they never forgot about us. Based on the ambiance and the food I'll definitley go back.
