This place has always been passed by me as I head to downtown, to richmond or even to metrotown. But I never gone there, until today.

I tried the recommended "Eggplant" dosa. Please know that there prices are regularly between 8.99 and up except Monday. They told me that the eggplant dishes was hight sought after and that they personally recommended it. I guess, what the heck, i love eggplant and willing to try it.

The outcome? It didn't taste all that profound. Not sure if they recommended this for the sake of getting rid of their excess vegetables. I was surprised with the size of the dosa they brought out. But when i took a closer look inside, it was a small portion of guu inside it. Appearance wise, it gets 10/10. Taste wise, i give it a 4/10. I tried 3 different dosa to sample different taste. Service was kinda poor as they don't refill waters unless i wave my arm like crazy. The ambiance is none as there is no warmth or culture to it.

Would I go back? NO. Would I bring friends? YES. The reason is to impress with the size of the dosa at first glance.

This place is recommended for first trial so that you can see how incredible the size of the paper thin dosa is. But dont' expect too much for the value of it.

Cheers,

An " All you can eat", mix of Japanese and Korean grill food.

Service really affects this place. Each table has 1.5 hour to eat at this place. Everyone would think that it would be more than enough. But that is sorely mistaken. The service was very slow and the food takes unexpectedly long time to arrive. Not any of the waiters ere willing to give me a slip for dish selection, and none were willing to take my payment card for the bill either. It was like "your not in my section sns therefore i dont nees to hslp you. My own server seems to be like running with his head cut off. Multi task appears to be too much for him. Took me 15 minute to get the bill and 20 minute for my card to arrive back to me.

Food wise; the food is not too bad. Korean beef is nice and so were the sushi and rolls. Stay away from the soup or sunomono as its tainted by the server fingers. It is an all you can eat place and therefore, quality is standard.

I reccommend the restaurant hire more staff to help out the dining area and work on air circulation. Its way too smokey and any clothes/jacket to wear will be smoked 100%.

Cheers.

This restaurant really has a great atmosphere and set up. Nothing beats the d├ęcor for Japanese food then this place. I'm impress with the whole place. It is definitely a place to escape from regular restaurant. It is welcoming and totally different. Enjoy the scene.

In terms of food, I honestly cannot say I'm totally impress by it. There are no specialized "house special". Food taste wise isn't abnormal. The meal still taste good and added with the environment, it makes you feel like your in a different world.

Price is a bit high, but being there is well worth it. Service was not too bad. Readily available but lack professionalism or enthusiasm by staff. It is like " gimme your order
already" kind of attitude.

Still, I recommend everyone to check it out at least once.

Cheers

I tried the food. Basic congee with century eggs was poorly done. Chicken steak rice wasn't up to par as rice was cold and hard while the chicken shrunked. I reviewed the price and it was a bit too high to be competitive versus other HK cafe. Service was horrible as getting refill on chinese tea was like asking for a million dollar from the staff. This restaurant is located in the heart of collingwood neighbourhood. Need to provide better quality food, make sure chef enjoy cooking and not become bored with job, and try to lower prices to attract customer. Need staff to talk less among themselves and please have fresh "hot tea" available. Will try again in 4 month for re-evaluation.

Cheers
