Moxie's Classic Grill1759 West Broadway, Vancouver
No Wings

My friends and I came here for some appies and drinks after work. Instead of being seated at a designated table, we were told to walk in the lounge and just grab any table, the hostess followed us with the menus. Our server greeted us promptly and was very helpful with the wine list. She was unusually chipper and cheerful for a rainy Tuesday night. We ordered the appy platter which consisted of tenders, wings, spring rolls, their special bread and calamari. The platter came promptly and our server made sure we were prepared for our feast with side plates and finger bowls, which you don't see too often at these restaurants. We were very disappointed to find out that our chicken wings were still bloody and raw. When we told our server (I think her name was Julie) she seemed embaressed and apologized in the name of Moxie's alltogether, which I thought was amusing. She quickly removed the wings, sent over her manager and brought us a fresh order. Although the food was somewhat disappointing, our servers cheerful and positive attitude made it worth coming.
I will definetly come to Moxie's again, only to have Julie as our server, and no wings.

Ultimate

I took my friend here to congratulate him on a big step forward. We both work at big corporate restaurants that promise you "the ultimate dining" experience. Coming here showed us both that no amount of standardized recipies and sexy servers can beat the authentic and genuine environment that Harambe provided.
Our server was very nice and when I asked her to surprise us with her favorite dish she brought out a generous platter of 7-8 different kinds of ethiopian food served on their traditional pancake-like bread.
The music and ambiance was enjoyable and gave the restaurant an authentic feel. I will definetly go there again, not because the food service or ambiance was amazing, but because I truly felt like I was eating homecooked ethiopian food.
I definetly recommend this place to you if you are easy-going and open to new things.
