Sui Sha Ya Japanese Restaurant4820 Kingsway, #236, Burnaby
Yes, very dissappointing
Submitted Wednesday, May 16, 2007 - 12:54pm [Dine in]

I came to Sui Sha Ya for a friends birthday party and my friend reserved a table that could fit atleast 7-10 people and when we got there our reservation must have gotten lost because the waitress said there were not enough seats for our party of 8. So they offered us to sit around the middle table that goes around the sushi bar which was really anoyying because when you wanted to talk to someone on the end of the table you would have to yell or walk over there. Already pissed about the seating arrangements we ordered our food and some people didn't even get there order, so we had to remind the waitress of what we ordered. Overall, not good, for all you can eat sushi go to Tampopo on Davies street downtown, that place will amaze your mind!

What a treat for mother's day!

Deciding on which restaurant to go to for mother's day, my sister was roaming around the internet to find a delicious restaurant we can go to as a family; Takano popped up. Not being a large and well-known restaurant I was kind of hesistant of going at first. I ordered the chaisru (*not sure if its spelled right) ramen and wow! i was amazed. The thing that captured my attention was, not only were the noodles delicious but at the same time it was healthy (no msg or too salty) it was just right. My mom lives her life really emphasizing "living a healthy life", so right away i knew my mom would come back here for future get-togethers. Additionally, the gyozas are different in a good way. I am used to gyozas being a bit thicker and packed with just meat, but the skin of the gyozas at Takano are thinner and the insides are a mix of veggies and meat. In conclusion, my family and I think this restaurant is delicious and I'm proud of the fact that they promote making healthy food without destroying the taste.

Perfect family restaurant

Excellent food and awesome company, thats all you need to have a great time. This place is a great place for family and friend get-togethers and I will most certainly come back here to eat! The food here is better than most Japanese restaurants here in burnaby and seems to have a fusion of korean and chinese food. Overall good place!
