We started to come here for dim sum every week since the beginning of year (sometimes two time a week). This is a solid restaurant all around and I wish all the chinese restaurants in Richmond operate like this. The service is great, dim sum was excellent (they change their menu regularly). The price is on the high side but it's definitely worth it.
We appreciate the friendinless and the prompt services which you don't find in many chinese restaurants these days.
Went there for lunch last Friday becuase of the hype. Nothing to write home about. Looks like they threw a new coat of paint and jack the price up by a couple of bucks on each item. Everything else remains the same..chairs, booth etc..Portion was smaller than before . have never seen carrot cubes in a beef fried rice, have you? They called it "fusion cafe" now? You must be kidding me...
This used to be a fairly decent HK style cafe a few years back. The chefs must have left.. We have not been there for a long time but last month we went there after our visit at the lawyers office. It was 11:30 so we decided to have a quick bite there.
Services was not the worst as I've seen worse in other chinese restaurants. But the food is absolutely disguesting. I ordered a fried rice lunch set and my wife ordered a beef fried noodles lunch set. The fried rice wasn't even cooked. It was warm leaning to the cold side. There are many white rice crumps with no soy sauce on it. The beef noodle was worse, lots of greasy gravy with little beef. again half warm/cold. Imagine how gross that is. I swear that the chefs must have been gone and the people there are new owners.
Not sure how the others below can give this joint a 4-5 stars. We must be eating at different restaurants!
We went there for lunch today (Sunday) the first time as we were a bit tired of the chinese food in the surrounding area (me and my wife are both chinese). This turns out to be a pleasant surprise! I ordered a beef dip and my wife ordered the pork sandwich. We were not disappointed. In addition, their fries are excellent ..no salt, and crispy.
I ordered a cranberry juice with soda, I usually get mostly water with little juice in other restaurants but this restaurant did it just right. Kudo to them. When I compare them with Denny's, White Spot I think ABC beats both of them hands down.
Food was ok not great...services was so so...hostess not very friendly...price was regular, about the same as any other chinese dim sum restaurants in town.
Ambiance was good. Big windows, nice atmosphere.
A very convenient location but unless you have to go to Aberdeeb Center anyways, there are many similar/betrter restaurants in Richmond in that area.
We are regulars here since two years ago after we moved from Calgary. This gotta be the best restaurant in Richmond service wise.
Both Dim Sum and dinner are great and the price is reasonable.
Dim Sum was excellent last year before the chef left. The new chef is ok but not as much variety as before and the manual didn't change as often.
Dinner has always been excellent. Food and vegetables are very fresh although the manual is limited and not changed as often.
This restaurant and Kirin in Richmond are both have above average food but services are excellent.
We used to go there every saturday and we always called ahead the nightr before. But when we get there we always have tro wait for 20 to 30 minutes at the least. The hostest at the front will let people in without reservation if they know them. She wasn't very friendly either.
You have to literally wave down the waiters to get their attention but most of the time they ignored you anyways.
Lots of better restuarants in Richmond than this.
