My boyfriend order from here for some cheap eats. Their original party tray A used to come with: 1 California, 1 house roll, 1 spicy tuna roll, 1 spicy salmon roll, 1 yam roll, 1 dynamite roll, 1 bc roll and 2 pieces of tuna, salmon and ebi. All of this for $24.08 after tax! I ordered the same tray today to see that they took away the house roll, the bc roll and the nigiri and replaced them with a dismal avocado roll and plain chicken roll. It's still cheap but the value is no longer there since it includes items we don't even eat. I doubt I'd order again.

Terrible customer service

Dined in for dinner with the boyfriend on a Saturday night. Place was not remotely busy, which surprised me. We were greeted by three different servers, yet stood there for a good minute because they all kept looking at each other as if they didn't want to deal with us. Finally, one lady pointed to a younger male and told us that he would seat us. We sat down and was brought water although we wanted tea as well. After that, the service went down the drain. The male stood at the table beside us for at least 10 minutes, even though we wanted to order. I kept looking around, and made eye contact with the first female we talked to, so I assumed she'd come. She didn't and we continued to sit there. The male sat down at the table next to us and completely ignored us. I was under the impression he would be our server since he sat us but I guess I was wrong. We finally made our order through a new server 7 minutes later. I was hoping the food would redeem this place but honestly, it's nothing special. I find that most Korean sushi places taste the same, but prices vary, and this was a little high for their "okay" dishes.
We ordered the temaki combo (california cone, dynamite cone, spicy tuna cone), spicy combo (spicy tuna sashimi, spicy chopped scallop roll, spicy tuna roll), 1 chopped scallop cone and 1 calamari roll and it came up to $29 with no tip. Standard sushi here, nothing special. The calamari roll just tasted like an ordinary dynamite roll.
I'd much rather go to Tobiko where they have better combos, better value and better customer service.

Restaurant was not busy at all but we were constantly interrupted by different servers to ask if we were done with our plate, despite it having lots of food on it. I'm sorry, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to talk during my meal. Our server threw away my dish and drink despite me telling him I was not done, but it was too late. Food was below average, extremely tasteless. Never will return.

Wonderful dining experience.

Had an entertainment coupon, so decided to check it out. The location is not convenient for most and not worth the drive since there's nothing good around.
I enjoyed the eclectic decor, though it may seem outdated and cheesy to some.
Our server was extremely sweet. She definitely went the extra mile each time to ensure we had a great dining experience. She was especially outgoing to the table beside us, which I thought was nice, though a tad bit annoying because she would pay more attention to them even though we ordered first.
Complimentary bread was nice. The calamari was tasty; didn't have too much batter and was not chewy. I ordered the 9oz striploin which was delicious! It was cooked to a perfect medium and the veggies/mashed potatoes with the lemon sage butter complimented nicely. Boyfriend ordered the "Scarface" pizza, which was good, nothing to rave about. The tiramisu here is to DIE for. One of the best I've ever tasted.
Since we had the coupon, the price was not bad at all. I believe the total came to about 50 dollars, and that was with a large tip.

My only complaint was the tables in the middle are situated right next to each other so we were seated beside two women who were intoxicated and loud. But I had a great time, nonetheless.

However, I noticed a table in front of us who was not pleased with their server at all, so I guess it depends who you get.

I will return.

The boyfriend and I were craving oysters and decided to drive down to take advantage of their Happy Hour. We were greeted by a friendly server and bartender who told us to sit where ever we'd like. We ordered 14 shucks of local oysters, yam fries and hot drumettes and the server confirmed it. When asked about the drink specials, she just pointed to the menu and said, "it's right HERE." Despite being the only couple downstairs, service was extremely lacking. The server and bartender was very engrossed in their conversation to pay any attention to us. It took about 20-25 minutes for our appies to show up, and even though the server repeated what I asked, our drumettes were missing. She did a check back around 15 minutes later but did not fulfill my near-empty glass of water. At this point, I was annoyed, and told her to not even bother with the drumettes, to which she asked, "oh you ordered them? Sorry." I don't get what's so hard about writing down orders; she clearly heard what I said.

The oysters were nothing special, but the two dipping sauces were tasty. The yam fries were too salty and soggy.

I'm very disappointed in this dining experience and since the server looked a young, I didn't want to point out her faults, but she needs to tone down her attitude. We didn't give her a large tip and her anger showed as she rudely scowled at us and didn't say bye as we left.

My friend and I love Baselines in Langley so we decided to go to the Baselines in Surrey since we live about 5 minutes away from the place. After parking, we go to the door to be greeted with two drunken men, arguing. We entered the place and sat at a near booth. The place wasn't packed, yet the server took 5 minutes to greet us and another 7 minutes to take our orders. We simply ordered the spinach dip and some drinks. The dip wasn't great; I can't really complain about a dip. However, the server never did a checkback which was frustrating because my friend and I wanted another round of drinks and needed napkins. We waited, and the next thing we know, we hear a loud thud. Turns out two men were fighting, and one was knocked out on the floor. No cops were called; everyone was just yelling and some people were still eating and drinking as if nothing happened. The service continued to declined, and everyone let the attacker run freely without talking to the police. One server tried to wake up the unconscious man, made him sit him and didn't call the ambulance.
The worst part, the fighters seem to be regulars at the pub, since all employees were screaming their names.

The servers were dreadful and irresponsible. The dip was alright; I had better. The ambiance may be okay for regulars, since everyone seemed to know eachother's names. However, this truly was the most horrible experience I've had a restaurant EVER.

I'll stick to Baselines in Langley, thank you.
