I've been going to Bon's for the past 5 years. It never disappoints. The trick is to go early to beat the weekend hangover crowd, anytime before noon would be good. If you happen to go after noon, be prepared to wait anywhere from 30 mins to 1 hr.
The food is delicious and you can't make their breakfast special at home for the price they charge. $2.95 is worth it if you value not having your home smell like bacon grease for the rest of the day. This is a restaurant that charges a low price and makes its money via volume. The food is always fresh as the turnover is very high, none of the food ever sits for too long.
Bon's on Broadway is exactly the type of environment that defines a greasy spoon and as such, one cannot expect too much. Go in with an open mind and be prepared to be satisfied.

The family had the set menu for 8 people for $118, an extra crab for a total of 3 (the set menu has 2 already) and lobster sticky rice.
The food was delicious, the sticky rice had a whole lobster on top and the crabs were done 2 different styles, both were good. The malaysian fried rice was bland but all the other dishes were better than expected.
