Great place, with lots of selection!
Submitted Sunday, October 24, 2010 - 11:08am [Dine in]

Dinakis is a great restaurant, with lots of selection in their menu. We've been a handful of times and each time their service has been impeccable. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!

The only flaw that I've seen is their Caesar salad once, and they made it to 'soupy'. The romaine lettuce was drowning. They were kind enough to try again and made an adjustment to our bill in the end.

While Jimoco has a great deal on the 2-for-1 pasta, the service is something to be desired.

Every time my family & I have been in there, there seems to be no proper 'waitlist' that the servers follow, the servers are always unhappy looking, and the food is slow to come. After waiting for such a long period of time, with only a few slices of garlic toast to nibble on, you can't even eat your food when it arrives because it's scalding hot and can't be eaten.

Terrible...just terrible
Submitted Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 7:56pm [Dine in]

As per usual, I was thoroughly disappointed with Pasta Polo's slow service. And to boot, they had a pot on the ledge behind my son's head to catch dripping water (in the booth area), as well as a bucket on the floor full of water from a ceiling leak. When we complained about moving the bucket behind my son's head, all we got was a "This is what happens after it rains." Well then if it happens when it rains, and we live in the area we do, then get the damn roof fixed so IT DOESN'T!

The bucket on the floor was knocked over by a little girl. Water spilled all over and the waitress that was first to see it didn't rush to get a mop or towels or anything...no she ran accross the room to get the busser to clean it up! There were no signs to warn guests that there was a bucket in the pathway either. I dunno..isn't that a hazard?

T'was Ok
Submitted Saturday, November 25, 2006 - 9:07pm [Dine in]

Just got back from dinner at Me-N-Ed's. The ambiance was ok, the food was okay, the service was okay. Nothing to ooh-n-ahh about, it was just an overall OK.

The area is a bit small and you get to seat yourself, luckily it wasn't a mad rush for that last table that was free.

This place is still open?!
Submitted Wednesday, November 22, 2006 - 8:55pm [Dine in]

This place is just T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E! I don't know how it could possibly still be open.

The service is lacking, nothing on the menu stands out, the prices aren't "great", and ambiance needs a lot of work.

I've been there a handful of times to give it a chance because friends of ours like this place. But NOT anymore. This place needs a HUGE re-vamping before I step foot in there again!

Great food...service okay
Submitted Saturday, July 22, 2006 - 9:15am [Dine in]

Went here yesterday night 'cuz a few of us were feeling like 'Mexican'.

Our server was somethin' to be desired: Young, greasy faced, long haired, guy, with lack of a personality. HE was a bit disappointing.

To start my review: We had reservations for a group of 6, 2 of us arrived on time and were asked if they wanted to start with a basket of chips & salsa while waiting. Thinking it was a great gesture to have something to snack on while perusing the menu and waiting for the group to arrive, they were SURPRISED that they were actually charged for it when we got the bill.

Good was okay. Our plates were overfilled with refried beans, just to make our plates look 'fuller' I guess.

Our server was having a hard time figuring out why he only had 5 orders on his slip and not 6, because there were 6 of us. 4 of us ordered Beef Soft Tacos, 1 order was for chicken soft taco and the other was something else. C'mon, how could you mess that up?!

And then when we got our orders, he couldn't figure out why he had one extra Beef Soft Taco and missing the Chicken soft taco. Well, looking at the plates, you couldn't really tell what was what in the soft shell taco so he made all of us who ordred the Beef Soft Taco to actually look in our taco's to make sure it was beef and not chicken. Well, low 'n behold, he gave the wrong plate to the wrong person. UGH! It was just frustrating having to deal with such an Idiot for a server!!

Otherwise, food was great, lots to choose from on the menu...I'd go again as long as I can ensure I don't get the same server!

I love this place...it's a nice place to go just to have a drink & relax.

Everything is priced well, service is impecable, food quality is great, & great crowd of people there.

I wouldn't turn to any other pub in the neighbourhood except for "The B"!!

Curiosity got us in...
Submitted Thursday, June 22, 2006 - 6:55pm [Dine in]

...food got us out.

Well, it wasn't all too bad, but it wasn't what I expected. After reading the review in The Province, I was overly eager to try this place out. The restauratn was completely empty, it felt kinda awkward walking in there when all the service people were just standing together at the bar, and just staring at you as you walk in. Maybe if they had a greeter/hostess it would've been a bit more welcoming. The ambiance was great...although a little on the dark side.

The one thing I do highly recommend if you're curious enuff to try Curious, have the SMORES dessert. MMMMMmmm...to DIE FOR!
