Ocean Club, The100 Park Royal, #105, West Vancouver
Good Ambiance-Horrible food
Submitted Sunday, November 30, 2008 - 12:46am [Dine in]

Judging by the name, you would think Ocean Club would have great Seafood. We ordered Ahi Tuna and after nearly an hour of waiting, the waiter arrived with our order. The moment he put the plate on our table, we immediately sensed the smell that can be best described as garbage left out to rot even further for a week. There was no way we could eat that food even if we wanted to. We asked one of the waiters to smell the food and tell us what he thinks. He smelled it and after a few seconds said he does not eat Tuna so he does not know what it supposed to smell like! He got a waitress to help us. We asked her to smell the Tuna. She proceeded to smell the Tuna with the worst attitude we have seen in a waiter/waitress in our whole lives and proceeded to tell us that it is fish and it is supposed to smell like that. She then took it to the kitchen and according to her the Chef said that the Tuna was actually very good and high quality. Our own waiter finally offered the menu to us to order something else and we ordered a more expensive (and absolutely horrible) entree, they charged us for the more expensive entree. One expects a much better customer service for a place this expensive. It is an absolute shame since the ambiance and the drinks are pretty good at this place. But we would not return to Ocean Club for dinner again.
