An Update
Submitted Thursday, August 2, 2007 - 6:03pm [Dine in]

2nd time i've been here and a 2nd time i have submitted a review for this place. Though a Cambie street merchant, their Sushi remains incredibly fresh and tasty. I would think with all the construction, this might have an effect on the food quality - but have to say that i'm very pleasantly surprised.

Didn't mind the service as it looks like they have some new waitresses. Please go and try this place out as they could use the business and i would hate to see this place go.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (and will personally come back myself)!!!!

Would Not Recommend
Submitted Monday, July 16, 2007 - 5:37pm [Dine in]

A bunch of co-workers go here indicating that the place served okay food. Stayed late at work one night and though i would give it a try. Suffice to say, was not a good experience. The service is bearable for a "Japanese" restaurant - however, it was the food that did it in for me. Salmon and tuna were not fresh, the dynamite rolls were aweful. Didn't mind the scallop rolls. Overall, would not recommend the place.

Though it's not always the case, i should have known better based on the price as the food was relatively inexpensive. Spend a bit more and go somewhere "fresher" - your stomach will thank you.

The Anton's of Sushi
Submitted Monday, February 26, 2007 - 4:58pm [Dine in]

I like the medium sushi combos; however, i deem this to be the "Anton's" of Japanese restaurants (must be the Korean owners??). Portions are a good size; however, found that they just used more rice - a sign of trying to give bang for the buck.

Service however is another story. Waitresses are just grumpy all the time and one wonders if they want to be there at all. Good thing for the portion sizes as if it wasn't for that, i wouldn't recommend the place.

As a conclusion, like i said, if you are looking for cheap filling sushi, with god aweful service, this is your place, otherwise, if your looking for good quality stuff, i'd try elsewhere.
