We purchased $19 for $40 credit from Wagjag to use in the New India Buffet and Restaurant. The restaurant wouldn't accept our coupon saying that it was only good for buffet even though we spent $15 each on the dinner items (total $75 for five people). No way on the coupon did it say anything about that but they insisted that was the case. So we paid the full amount and on return home, we went online to check and the term was the coupon was not valid for alcoholic drinks only (which we didn't order at all). So they lied.
It is now apparent the New India restaurant just wanted to use the promotion offered by Wagjag and other companies for free advertising, but they will not honor the coupons that their customers have already paid for online. So I called up Wagjag and asked for a refund and I was advised they will refund my money once they ascertained the coupon hasn't been redeemed. Fair enough.
New India restaurant's menu stipulates a minimum of $15 for each person (if not taking the buffet) and the dishes are very small compared to other Indian restaurants. There are many Indian restaurants that offer good food, good value and honest business. Mezbaan on Kingsway is my favorite.
