Over the years I have frequent this place and even introduced quite a few colleague and friends to this little secret/hidden gem in Surrey. On many occasion, you would have to wait for a seat since they have only about 9-10 tables (if I recall correctly).

As my youngest brother that eats sushi all over the lower mainland said - it is NOT the best, but probably the best in Surrey, I have not been disappointed once since going to this place.

We have had numerous party trays ordered from here and never had anything but good compliments.

Sashimi is kept at just the right level of coldness to keep it firm. The spicey sauce they used on the rolls and other dishes is probably my favourite. Not overkill since I am not very good with chili sauce but enough to make your body warm up.

If you want very good sashimi and california rolls for your kids, this is the kids' favourite place for those rolls. Spicey tuna dishes are my favourite as well.

Just to give an idea how being positive can create a different outcome. I was meeting up with a great colleague on Sept 25 to discuss joint venture at Teaworks.

I did a quick search on the internet. This establishment had mostly bad reviews from just about everyone. I was bracing for the worst but did my best to think positive. When I arrived at the location at 12:00 expecting lunch madness, I saw most of the tables were empty. 3 other customers were in the establishment. Not a good sign already. I grinned, smiled and told the waitress and bubble tea maker/cook how nice the place looked. I did genuinely like the look of it. I didn't want to play Russian Roulette so wisely asked the chef what was the chef's special. They didn't have one. I asked him whatever he likes to make the most, I would have one.

Long story short, I had an excellent experience. The Korean BBQ dish reminded me of the home made food that my mother used to make. The portion of meat was huge consider what I paid, most place would not give nearly that much meat. Overall the food was great, service was super. The waitress kept coming back to fill up our tea without asking. The bubble tea the "chef" made afterwards was great! I watched him scoop out any ice that did not get crushed and my drink was really smoothly done.

Would my experience have been just the same with all the other reviews if I didn't act or think the way I had? Without a doubt it would have resulted in poor service and with that poor dining experience. Want your life to be different? Visit me on Facebook.com/BeRicher
