Allrighty.
Open late?
Check.
Decent food?
Check.
Strange clientle?
Check.

It is a great place to go for the subs and donuts, but the chinese part is nothing to get excited about late night,as it sits under the warmer, and gets pretty dried out by the end.
Donuts are freshmade in house, and the selection is great.
Try the chicken burger.ITs outta site!!

Wanted to try this place for a while...glad I did!!
Submitted Monday, September 8, 2008 - 2:32am [Dine in]

Well worth it!!
The food was great,I had the veal with mashed potatoes, which were real, not powdered.
My pals had the pepper steak, which was great, and the speial, which was also solid.

The deep fried prawsn were a throwback to the oldschool Dragon Inn Smargasbord recipe in taste.A nice suprise.

Service is a bit slow, but,it gives you time to enjoy your friends company.

Word of note though..come early,by 8:45,they start shutting the kitche down, and won't seat you if its too late.

This is not Gothams or Mortons,Its the Brave Bull, and what you see is what you get.

Not what it used to be
Submitted Wednesday, August 6, 2008 - 3:56am [Dine in]

Things are sliding down.
Myself and 2 friends went there a couple weeks back, and, well, quite frankly it was chef boy ar dee quality.
Thin flavorless sauces, overcooked pasta, and tough veal.
2 of us got our orders together, while the third sat for 10 minutes without his salad. Not too impressive.
Very cramped also.

Will not be making any stops at this place anytime soon.

A 5 star place in a 3 star area
Submitted Wednesday, August 6, 2008 - 3:52am [Dine in]

this place has been many restaurants over the years, but i think this is the one to keep.
The attentive chef comes out from the kitchen to see how everything is.

Being italian, the food is very important to me.

It shone like a diamond.
An awesome place for casual dinner, first date,or kindling the spark.
Highly recommended.

Very happily suprised

I have driven past this place many times over the years, and tonight was the night to try it.
I had the antipasto to start, wich was just like being at an itallian wedding.
Thin porsciutto strips,salami,capicollo,mozza cheese,and pepperoncini.
Very tasty.
The Boconcinni Tomate salade was also great.

I had the tortellini with salsicce sause,Excellent!
And the veal was wonderful.Friend had rigatoni with rose sauce, and chicken cacciatore. Both solid.

Will definitley be back.

Roxy Burger910 Granville Street, Vancouver
3 times a charm??Not likely
Submitted Sunday, July 13, 2008 - 7:16pm [Dine in]

I really cant understand the people that love this place. Is it because of the Roxy name,or the close proximity to said bar?

Everytime I have gone,it never gets better.Food is sub par, even for a glorified greasy spoon, which is basically what this place is.

burgers are blah, poutine is poopy, fish and chips are a gyp,so....no real reason to try it again.

Fun place to go.
Submitted Sunday, July 13, 2008 - 7:12pm [Dine in]

This is an excellent late night eatery on th Granville strip.
Ya,its loud.Ya,there's peanuts everywhere. But that is part of the charm. You want stuffy, uptight ambiance,go someplace else. This is the type of place you would expect coolege students to hang at,and they do.Its a drinkin bar with food on the side.
I reccomend the sliders.Great with a few coronas.

Davie Mongolian BBQ1161 Dave Street, Vancouver
Exactly what you would expect.
Submitted Sunday, July 13, 2008 - 7:06pm [Dine in]

Typical mongolie place, not great, but not terrible. The food line can get a bit messy, however.
Always busy,so there is no good time to go.Booths are a little cramped,
The sauces could use a little zestiness to them, and a little less water.
Parking is a bit tricky, but you can pay and park in the shoppers lot.

What a dissapointment
Submitted Sunday, July 13, 2008 - 7:01pm [Dine in]

Went there for the second time,to see if things were better.
Nope.
The fireside things were too rich, but not tasty.
The steak was so salty,I had to scrape the seasoning off to make it edible.(Not to mention that it took half an hour to get the food to our table.)Their twice baked potatoes were'nt even once baked, hard and uncooked. And the coleslaw? Don't even ask.
Never again will there be a visit to Montana's.

Very unwelcome
Submitted Monday, September 24, 2007 - 1:57am [Dine in]

My friend and I went here for dinner.
Big mistake.I have never felt so unwanted or out of place anywhere in Vancouver as I did here.
First off,the "receptionist" was more interested in her phone conversation than seating us.
Now I understand this is a chinese restaurant, but,at least one of the 3 waitresses should have been able to speak english to some degree of understanding our order.

And the version of auld lang syne blasting over the steroe was a little too much.Especially in September.

Way to overpriced for what you got in presentation and taste.
Not very number one.

Wow.
Thats all I gotta say.
There were only 8 people in the restaurant, and it took 10 minutes to get our pop orders.
I had the burger, and asked for no pickles onions or tomatoes. They left the taste out too.It arrives on a dry bun,no sauces,no nuttin.
My friend had the chickenstrip club, which was equally mediocre.
The first time in my life I have never finished my meal.
Oh,the Root beer float they advertised was actually a Vodka Paralyzer.Nice eh?
And to top it off, some dude dressed in street clothes brought our food out to us.
Who the hell was he?a concerned customer?
Never will i return.
No won der it was dead.

Anton's Pasta Bar4260 E Hastings Street, Burnaby
lookin for real italian?not here
Submitted Tuesday, May 1, 2007 - 5:09am [Dine in]

Here's the deal with this place.
It caters to the Canadian ideal of more for your money,or,quantity over quality.
There is nothing authintic nor italian about this place, save for the names.
Extremely bland panna sauce, and the meatballs were better suited to a bowl of Vietnamese pho.

Not disgusting, but not something I would recommend if you were trying to impress pasta affectionados.

best place to grab a burger and watch pretty girls!!
Submitted Sunday, April 15, 2007 - 9:19pm [Dine in]

So,finally made it down to this area to eat.Open at 4pm til 12 am.
I was happily suprised! The food is fresh, you can see the cook cooking your order, and the kitchen is clean clean clean!!
Everything from appies to steak, and all points in between.
I had the nachos, which had ground beef on them as well as the regular toppings. The chicken ceasar salad was great, not swimming with sauce, but just right.
And the steak is a nice sized rib eye.
Come before 7pm to avoid the cover charge.
They also feature all kinds of sporting events on multiple tv's.Take out also available.
This is definately the best place in the area for food. And not sleazy at all, which is what most would think. The whole bar is very clean.
Will come back for more again!!

Khunnai Chang Thai Cuisine835 Denman St., Vancouver
the greasiest mess ever
Submitted Tuesday, February 13, 2007 - 8:19pm [Dine in]

After a craving for Thai food,we called go waiters to have Kunnai Chang delivered.
What a HUGE dissapointment!!The pad thai was dry and tasteless, the stir fried tofu was deep fried, the chu ch kung was made with breaded prawns, and the pha lam longh songh was greasy, made with onions and broccoli, and had no peanut sauce whatsoever on it.
We were discusted by what arrived and extremely dissapointed.
I would not reccomend this place for anything to anyone. You would be better off going to a chinese restaurant and ordering thai food.At least it would have some flavour and pizazz.
This place would make a great automotive lube shop with all the grease that comes with the food.
