Did the late night AYCE and everything seemed to start ok, with us being seated right away (as opposed to having a long wait at other AYCEs around the area), but maybe there's a reason for this.
Food was good, but service was atrocious. No one spoke to us, no one checked on us, no one refilled our tea or water without us having to ask first, and when we finally did get our orders in, we didn't receive everything we selected, even on the second try.
Our food took FOREVER to arrive. No free refills on drinks unless everyone at the table orders the same, so they lost money when we decided to just have water. Guests around us were experiencing the same lack of service, so when I asked a server what the problem was, he claimed it was because they were busy. Well, we certainly didn't see any lineups or full tables. But if they were busy, or short staffed, someone should have at least communicated this to their guests so that we'd be a little bit more understanding. But no one said boo.
We ended up not tipping when it came to payment and the female cashier had the nerve to question why we didn't tip more. No interest at all in our experience, or recognizing our dissatification, or taking responsibility for what transpired, or even providing us with an apology when we expressed our experience; just a sense of entitlement that they should be tipped because they work in a restaurant in which we ate in. Do they not understand that tipping is a reflection of service? I guess not.
It's too bad this all happened 'cause the food was actually pretty good, but for the unacceptable service we received, we would not go back.
