Pretty good a couple of times, Great Once!

We have been to this place a few times. The first time we went it was pretty good - nothing to write home about, but solid Italian food. Not as good as some really amazing Italian restaurants, but much better than say the Spaghetti Factory.
The second time we went, it was really delicious. They had a special of chicken ravioli that was amazing. We went with four other people and they all said their food was great.
Since then, they haven't had that particular dish so I haven't had a meal as good. Overall, it's pretty decent but by far not as good as the Heritage Grill next door.

Way better decor - food still hit and miss

As Sapperton residents, Ginos is a great convenient restaurant for us to go to. Since the new owners have renovated the inside of the restaurant, the atmosphere is far better than it was in the past.
For everything else, this isn't the easiest place to review because it is so hit and miss. The food and the service are both usually decent, but we've experienced a lot less on both fronts. I think if the food were less expensive, the lesser quality compared to similarly priced restaurants wouldn't be so apparent.
One thing they have either changed or I had never had it before that is a definite MISS is the tomato/basil pasta sauce. It tastes like really bland jar tomato sauce with about 3 cups of sugar added to it. Even my neice said it was too sweet for her! I couldn't eat the pasta I ordered because it was so sickly.
On the other hand, the chicken strips and salad and the Greek food all seem to be pretty consistent in being decent.
As for drinks, fountain drinks are "bottomless" so that's great for value, but they only have their one beer on tap and not a great selection of bottles.

Great food - Best in New West!

We have been to this restaurant several times and have always thoroughly enjoyed the food. In our experience, the service has 9 times out of ten been excellent. There is one girl there, I think her name is Hannah, who is incredibly helpful and friendly. Others we have had haven't been quite as "on the ball", but still very good.
I have had most of the seafood dishes there and they have all been wonderful. It is apparent that all the food is freshly prepared by someone who knows what they're doing!
I have also tried some of the pasta, sandwiches and salads and they have all been excellent. Family friends go there just for the thai chili chicken wings, order them every time, and have never been disappointed.
We have also experienced some very good entertainment there thanks to their live music. The only trouble is, sometimes it's a little loud and means you can't really hear the other people at your table. If you're there for the music, though, this won't bother you.
As for the ambiance and decor... it's definitely a little lacking. The tables, chairs and booths are all old and could use replacing to give it an atmosphere to match the food. Don't let this fool you, though, it's well worth it for the quality of the food.
