While feeling quite bad about not truly knowing much about what my home town of almost two decades has to offer in the way of culinary delights I began a quasi restaurant tour of Richmond with my girlfriend and found my attention brought to Paesano's. We arrived around six during a week night to find it quietly populated with other couples doing the same as us, the food was nice, and we had a great time but I believe what captivated me the most was the ambient lighting and very soothing music that really enhanced the whole dining experience. Later we went out for ice cream and a walk to watch sun dip behind the horizon, and I can confidently assert that Paesano's set the tone for what was to be a great evening together.

Just the other night my girlfriend and I decided we would like to sample some Malaysian cuisine Richmond had to offer, and was delighted when we came across Kelong. The menu was very comprehensive (if not a little overwhelming for a person who is terribly ignorant in what constitutes Malaysian cooking), our server was extremely attentive, and the food was absolutely exquisite. While I really enjoyed dining for two this restuarant is one I would definitely suggest for groups to visit as the portions they bring are of ample size and so great for sharing. Having never tried culinary the delights of Malaysian food, my first experience with it have ensured it won't be my last either.
