I just recently dined at the Cafe Crepe beside the Commodore Ballroom. I was just out to lunch with a girlfriend to catch up. Unfortunately it was hard to catch up because we were basically seated so close to the people beside us that we could have sat on their laps! When we asked if we could sit in a booth our waitress very rudely told us they were for larger amounts of people. That's fine and I understand because I'm also a server but she could have been polite about it. Our food got slammed in our faces and she gave us our bill before we were even done eating! She didn't even ask if we wanted anything else! I got the death look when I asked for a bit more water and she also slammed that onto the table in front of us as well. Unfortunately for her, she didn't know we were both in the industry. Had she have even taken the time to ask how we were doing maybe she would have found out. Too bad. We tipped her just enough to cover her tipout because the kitchen deserves the tip. Unfortunate for her, we left her nothing. Perhaps she should consider a new career. The food is great but I'm not sure the experience is worth it.
