Well I was excited to try this place because of all the reviews and let me tell you it was a great disapointment and my wallet was crying afterwards. I just don't get the reviews on here? I am shocked.
First on a positive note, the service and staff are very good and friendly. The only problem we encountered was our server was new and didn't know much about the menu so another waiter had to come over a few times to help us out and he was great.
The ambience reminded me of an murder mystery theme from Clue, it kinda creeped me out.
The food was just ok. I had the Perigord Truffle & Cottage Cheese Gnocchi at $39. It was such a small portion and I was really hungry afterwards. It tasted good but was not something that had me raving about it afterwards and I am not picky at all. My husband had a meat dish I think the lamb at $46 and it was really salty and of course really small portion as well. I tasted it and had to agree it was salty!
Now the wine issue which really upset us! This may have been due to a new server. My husband looked at the wine menu and saw house red $6.00. So we ordered it. Asked which kind out of 3 different kinds and we choose one. We get our bill later and we were charged $15 for each glass of wine! It was ridiculous! I love wine and I couldn't even rave about that either. It was a standard red house wine.
We never ordered dessert as we were disapointed from the meal we had and just didn't want to spend anymore money.
My advice is skip this place, there are way better restaurants out there that are worth spending money at.
Try Bogarts we went there and had the best meal ever with 4 people at half the price!
