Butler Did It Catering Co., The620 Clarke Drive, Vancouver
Tasty Panini Special
Submitted Thursday, June 24, 2010 - 3:55pm [Dine in]

I stopped by the Butler Did It today before a meeting. Ordered their panini special for the day. Came to roughly $6. The panini was a ham and cheese with sundried tomato aioli. The panani was served nice and hot and was very tasty. It wasn't too hard to bite into and they were generous with the cheese portion.
Overall a great lunch.
Oh, and they had the world cup on the big screen. Extra points there!

Fantastic Lamb Korma!
Submitted Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - 5:18pm [Dine in]

We often order pick up meals from Bombay. I always order the Lamb Korma, medium spicy, It is DELICIOUS! They are generous with the protein in the meal and I have never been disappointed with the flavour. Their pricing is a little up there compared to a lot of Indian restaurants but I have no trouble paying for quality food.
The decor inside the restaurant is plain and I cannot comment on the service as I have only ever taken the food to go.

Italian Touch Restaurant15077 Marine Drive, White Rock
Great Italian at the Beachfront.
Submitted Friday, June 18, 2010 - 1:23pm [Dine in]

We visited the Italian Touch as a group of six. We were seated promptly and were given great service. I ordered a Penne Marinara with Capicola. The portioning was generous and had a good flavour profile. Everyone at my table enjoyed there meal and we all felt the pricing was reasonable.
The restaurant is clean and well laid out with plenty of space for a larger party. The view was great and overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some solid Italian food

Browns Socialhouse215 Newport Drive, Port Moody
Great ambience, Mediocre food and poor value
Submitted Friday, June 18, 2010 - 11:27am [Dine in]

I have visited Brown's twice now, once to grab appies and a few drinks and a second time to have dinner.
The restaurant is nicely decorated and finished. One of my visits was on a Friday evening and the clientelle was young, a little rowdy and loud. The service was prompt and we were looked after well by our server.
One major dissapointment was the food. I ordered a calamari starter on my first visit. The calamari was rubbery and the tubes were tiny. I found the majority of this appetizer to be breading and for the price point I had expected better. The beers we ordered were a little flat but as the place was so busy I decided not to bother trying to return them.
On my second visit I had their burger. It was decent but again due to the pricing I had expected something more substantial.
Overall I would go back and have a couple of drinks at Brown's, but I think I would shy away from their food offerings.

Good Drink, Good Fare
Submitted Friday, June 18, 2010 - 11:17am [Dine in]

The pub can get a little crowded during peak hours and seating gets limited. The overall ambience is that of your typical Irish style pub. Lots of knick knacks all over and comfortable feeling.
They have a good variety of liquor and beer options (I never took at look at their wine list) and the draft I had was fresh and tasty.
I have tried their poutine and it was fairly good. I have also had their Guiness steak pie and its excellent! great crust and definitely has that sharp Guiness flavour to it. As I haven't found any other restaurants near by that serve a decent meat pie I will continue visiting St. James' Well for this item!
Overall I have a good time each visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lunch / dinner and drinks.

Great Breakfast
Submitted Wednesday, June 16, 2010 - 10:22am [Dine in]

We often visit the Coquitlam Grill for breakfast on the weekends. There is often a waiting time which can be annoying but it says something abou the food.
I usually have the Bacon and Eggs. They make a solid breakfast and their pricing is fair. Service is usually pretty good but occasionally it has been slow. Overall really enjoy coming here for breakfast

Pricey but Great food
Submitted Wednesday, June 16, 2010 - 10:16am [Dine in]

I often drop into Steamrollers for a quick lunch-to-go.
Their beef buritto is tasty and filling. I really enjoy their tortilla soup. It has an awesome flavour profile but they recently changed from tortilla strips to a more nacho chip style tortilla in it that I'm not a big fan of.
The food is pricey but worth it if you're looking for a healthier alternative to a burger for lunch.

Hi Ordered a Miso Soup, California Roll and Salmon Sashimi.
Miso Soup was fine. The California Roll was good, a little more sesame seed than I would like though. The avocado in the roll was starting to brown and could have been fresher.
The Salmon Sashimi was reasonable. For its price point I was not dissapointed.
Service was quite good. My waitress was attentive and polite.
Ambience in the place is lacking and the seating was a little cramped, however the restaurant seemed clean. My bill came to around $16, I felt this was not bad considering my order and the food quality.
Would eat here again.
