Okay place

This is one of those places that will leave you satisfied if you just happened on it - it wouldn't be a restaurant that I would seek out. I had the sugoi roll - crabmeat, tamago, yam tempura, salmon, avocado, cucumber, tobiko on top, w/ the chef's "special" sauce while my friend had the chicken teriyaki roll/california roll. It was pretty tasty, but not very well presented, and almost sloppily put together.

Ecstacy Dessert
Submitted Friday, April 4, 2008 - 2:13am [Dine in]

The food was overpriced for what we got, IMHO, but what you *really* have to try is the Eastern Ecstacy - I think it was called? It was a while ago that I went, actually. However, this dessert was simply divine. If I remember correctly, it had 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream served on top of some kind of warm sweet rice pudding with rosewater and pistachio crumbles on top. Nothing I say will do it justice. Go have it!

My friend and I waited outside for about 30 minutes - though it was to be expected. They had heaters outside the restaurant, since this is how it usually goes. I had the Spanakopita first. The phyllo was extremely tough, I had a hard time picking it apart. It was tasty though. They served two huge pieces, which I had the mistake of finishing before my Calamari dinner arrived. The dinner was HUGE, and I had to take 2/3 of it home in a baggie... unfortunately, the grease leaked out of the styrofoam box and soaked the brown bag in grease.. I am a huge calamari fanatic, and here, it was average. I've had better at Olympia on Broadway (where service is spotty).
