This was my first AYCE outing to Asuka, I've ordered take out before and I've dined in but not AYCE.
I was yet again impressed with the presentation, even though most places don't care much about presentation when patrons come in for all you can eat. This time I took a business client for lunch.... He is a huge sushi fan so I kept on telling him that he'd love the place.
We came in and to my surprise the place was empty, my client remarked that it may be not the best food since there isn't anyonyone there, I told him to hold any comments until food arrives... He commented about the top 40s type tunes that were playing ( and I had to agree it would have been better if the music was a bit more...... Japanese) would make for a more realistic atmosphere..
Food arrives and my client is just speachles about the fantastic presentation - his sunomono looked like one of those perfect looking but fake dishes in advertisments, he was blown away. He tried the food and was very surprised at how fresh and good it tasted.
Bottom line- I got more business from the client AND we've made plans to do this in a couple of weeks again, he pointed out that the place is a diamond in the rough and that he'll be bringing some of his friends there.
So will I!!!!!!!
It's some of the best I ever had!!
