We went to this place around 6pm on a Saturday and it was packed.
The dishes were pretty mediocre for the price. They were small, not very well prepared and dished out poorly because of the dinner rush. Looking past this, the incident of the night that left my family and I very unhappy was when we were given the wrong dish. The server insisted that it was what we ordered, and pretty much pushed us to keep the wrong dish. The thing is, all 8 people at my table were positive we ordered the pork dish, because it was a last minute substitution (as the kitchen had run out of what we wanted originally). What was also frustrating was that the server wanted to blame us for the incorrect dish. Her actions to resolve the issue were executed poorly, to say the least. We ended up keeping the wrong dish, and my brother was very ticked off through the entire meal. We failed to receive satisfactory service until the very end of our dinner - the server realized her tips were on the line!

I've been going here infrequently for 3 years. The food is pretty good for the price, considering location. However, service is mediocre at best. I've been going here for the prices, but my last visit was the worst and I will not be coming to The Sushi Bar again. I was going with my friends, one friend was running late and told us to order and eat without him first. First, one friend had miso soup spilled over his pants by a server handing us our meals. The server didn't even BOTHER to APOLOGIZE. He (friend) was totally fine with the accident, but the meal went downhill from there. Having finished our meals, our other friend still hadn't showed up so we decided to wait. Not only did the server stare/glare at us almost the entire duration of 10 minutes (friend showed up then), he also decided to give us the bill with a large amount of food still left on the table. Had he simply wondered if we wanted the bill, he could have asked. Instead he glared at us, looking like he thought we were trying to leave without paying.
Last time I checked, the **customer decides when he/she wants the bill. We would have left immediately had there been a lineup or a full house, yet the restaurant was MORE than 3/4 empty. Needless to say, they did not get a full tip.
Service is terrible and only the price kept me attracted. After this TERRIBLE experience, even the prices aren't going to have us coming back.
