Not good waitress
Submitted Tuesday, August 11, 2009 - 11:16pm [Dine in]

For sophies, supposed to be famous for its american diner experience and good portions and tasty food, but I must disagree in every way. The main thing i did not like is our waitress, who is not good at all. She took more than even 5 minutes to greet us, so we were very very unhappy and wanted some water, but we didnt get it.

When she took our order, she seemed not to care about us and just want to talk to the other waitresses. and then, she find customers at another table that she likes very much, and maybe they are regulars, she talked with them for so long.

Our food was up on the counter, and we could see the plates. Other waitresses just look at the food, and because its not theirs, they just tell the other waitress her food is there, and still she did not serve it. I timed about 8 minutes that my food is waiting on the counter, before it is served. The food tasted of no flavor, and just very small size.

I dont like sophies, of all the restaurant I have been to, sophie is the worst service. Do not go to sophie, it is waste of money. Dont give tip to the waitress, because they just dont seem to care. Horrible restaurant

Well, in vancouver we are told that chinese food is very good so we try a restaruant close to my brothers house, and it was not so good.

We ordered sweet and sour chicken that tasted bitter, and the peppers smell very funny. It was also soggy and the chicken has too much batter on it and no meat, so we were not very impressed.

Lunch was quite inexpensive, and so maybe if i have to be close and nothing better to eat i will come back here, but it is not the best

of all the restaurants that family has take us to during our visit, panos was our favorite because everything was just great. The foods that they serve are quite tasty, and just good for my price paying. Dinner for me and my husband was only $30.00, which is entree 2 and 2 appetizers!

I had a prawns baked with cheese, and it was the best prawns i've ever had, just loaded with flavors. I also had a dip of humus, which was very garlicky and spicy, and just absolutely delicious.

My waitress was very friendly, and she talks to be about my home country so I am glad to see that panos girls are so friendly! When I am back in vancouver, I will eat again here.

Some family members took us to dine here, and it was very good.

The chipati has a very nice texture to it, and there was some good dips and sauces. A good favorite of mine was the lamb biryani. The food was served fast, so we did not wait long.

Nothing was excellent good, but defenitely a fun food night.
