Went here with 4 friends Saturday night and got a table with a view over the river. There was a belly dancer who did a performance, stopping and dancing at every table, adding to the fun of the night. We ordered the Greekj Appy platter for 4, which was delicious and substantial (highly recomend this for groups for a decent price and good variety). I had a spinach stuffed sole for an entree. Unlinke most places that give you a single fillet, I got three fillets covered with a tasty sauce. Of course, there was the typical rice, Greek Salad, etc. that came with it. To finish off, we all had a piece of Ek Mek. What a great dessert. It was hard to finish, because of the sheer volume of food we received, but it was so good. The service was also excellent. Though it's a ways for me to go, I have enough friends that live out in New West, I will definitely go back again and again.
Went here to watch the "Stray Cats" Cabaret, which was awesome. The ambience of the restaurant is nice and laid back and the service was decent. Food was very tasty and decently priced. I definitely suggest the pork cheeks as well as the smoked eel. I would definitely recomend this place.
This is a place I will never visit again. Despite reservations, my group waited an hour to be seated. During this time, numerous others who came later, including a different large group, were seated ahead of us. The only difference between us being demographic. When finally seated, the water I got had some black thing floating at the bottom and had to be replaced. First impressions were very poor. The only reason service got one star was because there is no lower rating to give. It took a long time to get the tea refilled. The food was decent, but I have had better. If dining experience means anything to you, give Happy Valley a pass.
I've been here before for lunch where it was very busy and more of a buffet. Very tasty, but too busy for lots of service. For dinner, the experience was different. The restaurant wasn't packed, so the staff had time to provide truly good service, the food came out very quickly, and was, as expected, excellent. I'd vote this the best Indian food I've had. I left sweating from the spice and very satisfied with my meal.
While there was an abundance of food, most of it tasty, I will not be goig back here becasue they serve foods which are not sustainably caught. For a restaurant in vancouver to still be serving shark fin products is not acceptable. "I love sushi" can enjoy my business again when they join OceanWise and appropriately modify their menu. Until then, stand against the wasteful slaughter of sharks (fin and tail cut off, live shark tossed back to die. 90% of predatory fish are already gone) by not supporting placed that serve them.
I went here with a few friends. We had no trouble getting a table at 6:30, as the place was close to empty (on a Friday). Of course, that didn't mean fast service. It was really slow. The food quality was good, but portions were moiniscule and for what I got it was way overpriced. 3 pieces of storebought stuffed pasta for almost $8 is ridiculous. Would I go here again. Not a chance. Yes, they have some cheap booze on the menu, but it isn't a good value if you want food with your drinks and with the sevice speed, you may give up after a round or two.
Went here last night, a triple game night in Vancouver. Ambiance was very nice to chat with my date (dim lighting, not noisy), and the food was really good. The California Roll Tower, to share, was alot more food than I expected and delicious, and the main course was tasty. This was far better than Earl's, where we had planned to go but eschewed because they refused to take reservations and told me to call ahead to get on the waitlist (no way I make my date wait in line). Service at Relish was attentive, and the waitress answered questions and made suggestions from all parts of the menu. To top off the great ambiance, food and service, the price was very agreeable. I was impressed and I'll definitely go back.
